At what level can I post in other threads?

I've looked all over this forum, even done a Google search to try to find out at what level I can post to other threads. What level, then, would that be?

May I suggest that something be added to the Information section (or somewhere in plain sight) why people can't post here and what level is required.

For a while now, I'm always wondering why I couldn't post a new thread in an area other than 'New Player Help', but thankyou for the info

Originally when version 1.0 was active, the forum was not restricted, but during ARR's Beta test, the Beta forum became inundated with spam and troll threads, so to try and bring order to the madness SE implemented similar restrictions on the (now closed) Beta forum. I presume that must have then spooked them and thus they decided to head off any possible trouble with ARR's launch and implemented these restrictions on the official forum accordingly.

It's always possible they may remove these restrictions at a later date as well.

The restriction I hate is the character limit.
What ends up happening is that you aren't able to full quote the post you are replying to and reading a thread becomes confusing.
Which of poster X's three posts have you "snipped" and replied to?
How many pages do I need to go back to see what the person is replying to?

Is it an Exploit by modifying a post to ignore the 1000char limit? Is it reportable?
Moreover is there any solution to stop speedposting? ^^

This has quite heavily affected my feelings towards FF14, I have to say. It's like SE wants to limit my involvement in the community. It also smacks of an easy way to avoid spam and flamewar threads rather than investing more in forum moderation.

Why that thread isn't stickied is unfathomable. From a new player's perspective, the FF forums are extremely unfeiendly (not the forum posters, I mean the 'back off, noob' approach the forum limits give).
