Just need a Marauder to level 15...how?

Hello all,


My main character is a lancer, so I have to get a marauder up to lvl 15 in order to get my lancer to the Dragoon.

My lancer's done all the quests in Gridania, but done nothing level 15 or below in any of the other areas.

My question, then, is what is the fastest way to level up a marauder to level 15?

Hunting log gives a nice amount of exp ^^ then there is leve quests and FATEs. Also do the first couple of guildhests (lvl 10 ones) as they give bonus exp for first time completion for each class :3

But how do I build up enough armor and general stats to survive a level 10+ FATE or Leve? Isn't there work to be done before that?

Go kill the monsters on your hunting log. And there are lower level FATEs and levequests, check the lower level zones like Central Shroud, Central Thanalan, and Lower La Noscea. Don't forget about class quests either, every 5 levels at the guild.

What do you mean by work? You can buy your armor from the market board/npcs or craft it yourself.

As for as FATEs and leves, only do the ones close to your level or you won't get much exp.

By "work" I meant simple quests and what have you: working your way to level up. Wasn't referring to crafting, though I can see how that might have sounded as such.

It's just that somewhere I read that it's best to not do all your quests so that you can level up your alt character. That's why I posted the original question for this thread.

Personally I leave quests for DPS classes because they have the longest queues - but even if you finish all the quests in the game, FATEs and Leves are just as good of an alternative, and if you're interested in leveling Marauder beyond 15, you have istant access to dungeons.

I think you can level up at least until 5 in a couple of minutes just by killing trash mob outside the gates of the city. If you have the rested bonus, you'll get to 15 in a day.
