I assume those are all very valid responses, and I'm thinking similiar things.... I meant it more as a "SE Why has this CS been out for so long, WITHOUT his voice in it at all?" small and trivial, but weird that an opening movie would not have it....
Ummm guys... he's probably speaking Japanese.
I'd take japanese audio over what we have now..... nothing...
Slightly incorrect. The Ixal were actually in the Shroud for a long time, they were exiled by the Elementals with aid of Gridania after awhile. This was back when the Ixal still had wings and could fly, their exile pushed them into canyons (which we cant access yet), with the lack of trees for flying into, they created more ground based nests (it's also why they have hot air balloons now) and why their more recent generations are wingless, as there's no real need for feathers anymore. Going along that, if you're wondering why they worship Garuda, who has wings obviously, the reason is because even when they had feathers, they still saw Garuda as their own patron deity.
I know what you're saying about the winds bringing in the snows from the higher mountains, but really, it would take more than just wind to keep an area in perpetual winter as Coerthas has suffered since the Calamity.
It looks to me like he's saying 'we're allright', as a statement, rather than a question, though I could see 'you allright?', as well.
This may well be true, but 'daijoubu' would reasonably fit the same lip-sync, and mean exactly the same thing (in fact, that was my initial reading of it, since I do actually play with the Japanese voices turned on).
As for the screenshot, I always assumed it was the burning wall, but I haven't seriously compared them to see...
The primals are based wherever they are summoned, which is why in the story Titan and Ifrit can be summoned in the Howling Eye, The Howling Eye has always been in Coerthas.
