    (Suggestion) Solo Content.

    There is little to do in terms of solo content for endgame besides the beastmen tribe quests.
    What I suggest is solo trials fights that could take the form of the level 30 and 50 class/job quest fight but be reworked to suit level 50 players.

    It could be worked into a Wandering Minstrel quest seeing as how he played a part in giving the player access to hard mode of Ultima.

    For example.
    The quests grants access to a solo trials tab in the duty finder menu.
    Upon starting the quest there will be a cutscene.

    (Wandering Minstrel) Ah ,<player name>, the ballad of your victory over the Ultima Weapon is a success. Pray tell me more of such victories. After that the cutscene ends you are prompt to talk to him again and then a box like the one from the achievement npc appears with the names of the level 30 class quest and the level 50 job quest your character have done so far.



    Let's take Pugilist for example. Once you select Return of the Holyfist your character will proform the talking emote followed by the Wandering Minstrel saying.

    (Wandering Minstrel)So you helped Hamon Holyfist save the Pugilist guild by defeating Weggfarr Wideaxe. Yes, I can make an brilliant ballad. *fade out & then in* Now then wanna hear it. Then you get solo trials tab and it tells you to queue it up.


    Used the Duty Finder info tab as a template.

    As for the fight. The fight will be a different then the level 30 one.

    It'll start with the cutscene where Holyfist sqaure off against Weggfarr, after Holyfist body blows Weggfarr. Instead of using the Pluto substance he releases a paralyzing mist that affects everyone but Weggfarr. After that he charges at you and the fight starts.

    You start with a potent paralysis debuff that can't be removed until you get him to 85% and an cutscene starts with Rurukuta rushing over to you to give you the antidote but is knocked out by Weggfarr. Once you get him between 40%-50% he'll use an enhanced version of Barbaric Surge followed by repeatedly using Iron Tempest
    for 45 secs. And when he is down to 10% he'll use an all or nothing attack instantly hitting you for half you current health you have when he does the move.

    The rewards itself will be job specific minus the new tomestones that'll drop with it.
    For example.
    1. Job specific accessories.
    2. Job specific housing recipes. IE. An untradable interactive Sparring dummy for Pugilist and Monks to use
    that increases critical hit rate by 10% once placed on you housing plot.
    3. Special item needed for job specific housing recipe.
    4. A key item that could be use in the customization stat part quest of the relic upgrade quest line.

    I so long to fight a mirror of my Character, so stats, same skill sets, same additional skill sets.... I really Hope that is the case to obtain relic +2.... please don't make it so i trade in 300 stones i get a relic +2....considering the game("omg too hard, nerf! nerf! nerf!"), i would not be surprised if you can just talk/trade to NPC to get Relic+2.

    I wanna see how we do Level caps, when it eventually come, will it be a fight like FFXI to gather items, fight monsters or will it be FFXIV style, NPC A > Loading Screen > NPC B = congratulations, you cap is now level 55..

    According to a new interview, Relic+II is a questline. Suppossedly one that will take a bit, as they don't expect many to get it done prior to 2.23. Then there was something about "route 3" of a 3 route way of obtaining weapons later, and customizable stats.

    I love solo content, but mostly just to the extent that it's not intended. It gives me a long-term purpose or goal to aim for, and honestly makes me a better player as a result. A personal achievement, if you will. Games like WoW (particularly vanilla, TBC, and Wrath) and FFXI are perfect examples of what I mean. Anyone from early FFXI remember the JP RDM soloing Bune and Genbu? Or BLMs soloing KSNMs? SMN soloing ENMs? Or perhaps the soloing of Scholo in vanilla WoW by a Warlock?

    Some might cry that it's unfair that only certain classes/jobs would be able to do these things. That would be 100% true... if it were something you'd have to pay to do. FFXI, like this game, has a job system. Free of charge to play as another class. WoW allows you to create additional characters/classes for free. It's not unfair, you just don't want to put the time into doing it. And even if you did, it's not easy to solo these things at the level/gear/whatever that you might be at. It took personal "skill" to do most of these things. Things will always go wrong, and if you can't learn to react fast enough or correctly, you're never going to do what these handful of players do.

    Of course, intended solo activity can be nice too lol. They just can't make it TOO useful of an activity, by a gear progression standpoint. A solo trials of sorts would be fun, and rather acceptable, if it has limitations similar to how daily quests do.

    Considering in FFXI there are a few fights (and NMs) that clones your character but a few them with reduced HP..we can't have that in XIV, you want FFXI you you go play FFXI!

    It would be pretty fun though.

    how is this different from Levequests? if they wanted to give us Lv 50 levequests, they could easily do that. they just don't seem to want to design them and give meaningful rewards for level capped players.

    So what would the rewards be? Because it can't be something as good as or better than group content. It is an MMORPG heavily influenced by grouping with others after all.

    It won't work like a levequest, more like the Ultima Weapon fight in the trials section of the duty finder. But it'll only be a single player fight.
