That's abuse of VTK...and you can get punished for it if he reports you for harassment.Kick him. There's an article on the support in game that says that SE wont action a democratic kick providing it's not abused. Ask him to change gear politely and if not say why you're kicking him (for the record) on party chat and then pick afk. Harassment might be frowned upon by SE.
EDIT: Not saying its right to go in with full SB gear on...but its also not right to do into the DF expecting speed-runs.
The way I look at it is that one shouldn't be doing something that hurts the group unless it was otherwise agreed upon. If a DPS chooses to be in crafting/gathering gear for SB purposes, that's fine... but then the tank and healer should also be allowed to do the same. I'm quite certain the DPS that started it all wouldn't be happy about the inevitable wipes to come. Otherwise, that's essentially abuse of the system and a semi-issue of harassment towards the group.

I'd say the opposite. afk is flat out lying about why you're kicking them. But it is harassment by action to go in there and spiritbond off the work of others.Kick him. its a game and imo if its allowed in the game its fine its his choice to sb in DR i mean all the dungeons are so face roll easy who cares as long as he knows what hes doing. leave all that stuff out of dr, now if it was coil id understand. but if you want fast myth/soldiery get friends together and speed run brayflox or join one in pf its faster to cap soldiery and get myth anyways

If your entire party was in crafting SB gear (As in not a single stat of str, dex, vit, int, or mnd) you would be unable to clear WP. Let alone any other lv 50 dungeon. It's not about a speed run. It's about forcing a group to do a dungeon with 3 members so you can get free materia.
Noob. I did WP with 3 dps, and one healer all with lvl 80 weapons and ghost costumes back in October. It's called skill. The fact that you think that gear is everything questions your ability as a player in general.Ignorance is bliss.

Nobody said it can't be done. People want to clear it in 20 minutes, compared to 40 minutes, is all.
The quote stated that it wasn't able to be done. And further more, not only were we under geared but we were using a non standard party (no tank). If the OP goes in the dungeon with his gear (he's a tank) then unless he's trying to speed run and pull many packs at once, no matter what other players are wearing (you can't wear a crafting weapon so that stays the same) you will still clear in normal time.
Player

Wouldn't it just be best to see if the members 'can' pull off whatever they're doing before even taking issue with it? Unless someone's severely under performing, there's no good reason to examine them in the first place. Heck, it's possible for a 50 in crafting gear to do better then an appropriate level character in who knows what kind of leveling gear, and you have no right to take issue with someone still learning/leveling.
Basically, see if things are a problem before turning them into one.
Edit:
Also, you point out that his HP are what caused you to look at his gear, leading me to believe that he didn't have crafting armor on, or you'd see that right off the bat likely. If it was just crafting accessories, then it's not even an issue. People do that constantly with little to no hindrance.
