That's true. DCUO had zero rmt spams and Neverwinter was just mainly shouts in the main hub. The spam in this game makes me want to punch babies.
Maybe you hang out in instances or your server doesn't buy as much gil.

Instance dungeons killed /tell channel XP
Honestly been playing since launch and I don't get what the big deal is... I get 3 /tells top a day max, i just blocklist them and move along... Not saying it should stay but I won't disable /tell for it... I'd like to think that SE do their best to remove RMT, but the RMT is too "powerful"... But who knows... Maybe they need to try harder...
I have much bigger problem not being able to send /tells in many cases in game but that's a different thread XP

and when you reach 200 names which means your black list is full ? what is that you are going to do ? unblock and start again ? what is the point in blocking them if it is to unblock them ?
I am curious really.. I have this case informed the higher instances that I have that in the my black list and to take care of those.. No answer so far whatsoever....I have said it in this forum and filed a support. On the Forum, just cancel some of the names you have in the black list and add new, but the old a re still there though

The last thing people need is RMT spam distracting them while in a duty. Why do people need to /t others while in a DUTY anyway? One person's experience doesn't constitute the experience of others. To think it does is a little ignorant. I guess it depends on how much time you spend in-game. How much time you spend in instances. The time of day you play. Which server you play on. Etc.
I play a lot and spend most of my time crafting/gathering/hangin out. Some days the RMT /t come in once every few minutes. I gave up blacklisting the day I took time to clear 20 players from the list only to run out of space to add more the very same session.

If people stopped buying gil, then the problem would end!!
Best way to fix this is to limit number of tells that can be sent within period of time....
20 tells a min for example...
There just using bot program to sent 100s of tells at once. Everyone getting hit mult times also.
They will just have to use more alt bots to send more messages but its more of a hassle for them. Also if an alt is on rmt alert they shouldnt be allowed to create anymore characters on that account. Maybe even take it step further.
There also probably using character database on the server. They probably got list of 15-20k character names on a list and just auto sending tells down the list to players.
RMTs will go back to shout spams if there cut off from tell. So it is good example to also limit the shouts to 10 a min.
SE also needs to fix speed hacking & teleport hacking. Also SE should also see how many times XX enemy/location gets killed by XX player. Also by what order they are doing it. Eventally will find a pattern thats really long and its clear there using a claiming bot or gathering the same locations over and over using same actions over and over.

I wish they would at least stop sending me their tell after the first time. They don't even know the basic market rules! To pester potential customers with promos pushes them away after all <_< I know they'll never stop sending me tells, but if they would at least send them only once per character, it'd spare me from having to blacklist them and clean my black list every two weeks to make room.
One wish I have, is that when SE ban them they delete those chars then we would only have to clear out (deleted) from our black lists.
