Why are new players punished for enjoying the story?

I finally reach the end of the campaign and have to miss out on all the boss fights and receive horrible threatening messages from my party members because I watched the cutscenes while they rushed through the dungeon.

I know I'm not the only person who has invested a ridiculous amount of time and money in this game to be forced to choose between playing it or watching the cutscenes.

It felt so broken. I kept having messages pop up saying "boss gate is now closed", to then return to a chat full of angry messages and a second later another cutscene of the boss having been defeated.

I didn't even allow myself time to read the dialogue properly, even when I had the time at the end I was too upset to appreciate it.

Do any of you believe Square Enix can hope to find a fix for this so others who care about storyline don't have to go through this upsetting experience as well?

Possible Solution: Give the option to not skip cutscenes in the duty finder, with a bonus reward to encourage more players to use it.
The party finder is not a solution. Quests direct you to the duty finder so that should take priority. Most people don't even know about the party finder until after the issue has arisen.
