    Suggesiton: Point Item Buy Subm System

    Here is just a thought; people, including myself are getting really irritated by the RNG messing with us. Could we perhaps make some sort of after completion shop where with the remaining time in a dungeon someone could use points aquired in that dungeon/trial/whatever to BUY the item they want, but here is the catch. If they at any point buy, or win a greed or need roll in that dungeon, they lose all the points they had acquired.

    The points could, or could not, be tired to both the dungeon and job/class they were playing. Not having it tied to class/job would enable more quickly built parties in such a system.

    Just a thought.

    P.S. Now perhaps this could be implemented for only under 50 dungeons, but anything would be better.

    I say stick with rng. It's fine, fair, and I enjoy it. This coming from someone who farms atma quite a lot since my 2nd day of lvl 50, and I'm still 0/12

    I have spent weeks on a single item. The idea is that we have a reasonable amount of grind. Do they honestly want you to grind a single dungeon for 2 weeks for nothing?

    Heh. Drops in dungeon are 100%...just have a 12% chance per box to get what you actually want.

    without rng people would get everything too fast and get bored. the idea is to have reasons to keep people playing to generate as much cash from our subscription fees as they can before boredom sets in lol

    My idea is so that people don't get too shafted out of luck and lose ALL hope. There is a point where the grind might get tooo bad to be worth while and burn a person out. This sub-system would be a a built in safety, so that if you run a dungeon 200 times and don't get that last item yet, you don't get too discouraged as you are going to get the dungeon eventually. Plus, this would encourage players not to D/C or leave a dungeon if their item dropped on the first mid boss.

    You aren't grinding for 2 weeks for nothing. You're earning tomes to buy gear. Ever notice that there's 8 chests in both sets of Coil? 1 for each team member. The expectation from the devs is that each person will earn 1 piece of loot per week. This obviously doesn't always happen just from the chests, but unless you let things fall to the floor, which is really silly imo, that just means someone else got more than one loot drop and is on tap to get nothing the next week. All this is offset by the tome gear. 1 full run through Coil 2 gets you nearly enough soldiery for an accessory on its own and obviously you earn them outside of Coil too. Full soldier costs 4635 soldiery. That's 11 weeks. Even if you only got a drop 50% of your coil runs you'd still be geared out in six weeks. 5 if you got a Moggle Neck. Not BiS necessarily but geared out nonetheless.
