I don't have the source for this, but I distinctively recall the devs at some point saying that Ishgard and it's associated content was deliberately being held back for the PS3 release or briefly thereafter.

(Mostly because they didn't want it spoiled by the state of the game.)

I'm willing to bet that They drop the " Ishgard is opening up!" like 3 days before it's released, Just like we were wondering when Settlements was coming and they said it was going to be in this patch but no where to be found...

** And besides Ishgard Is the Center Location for all nations to go too... Wouldn't you think that will be implemented alongside with the addition of the New Empire Area?

They also said that Patch 1.19 is going to be 3-5 times larger than Patch 1.18 ( thats alot of stuff). So if you do all the Math.. theirs a Higher Probability that it will be in this patch," High Chance" Not " Guaranteed".

Again I said "High Chance" not "Guaranteed" and I'm not being Delusional, I'm merely stating the Quotes " 3-5 times as large as 1.18" " New areas will be brought about in 1.19 ( They don't say where of course) When you put those two together There's a High Chance, again Not Guaranteed

Well.. any new area is good to me so.. Even if its Ala Mingo to start then Expands to the Northern Continent. That would be just fine ^^

I'm glad to see so many people are still hopeful that Ishgard might actually happen soonish, though - and yes Catapult, SE did say that they were deliberately holding back Ishgard until their "battle changes" were in place so we could properly enjoy the content - but that is soooo vaaaague.

Everything is coming after the battle changes. Ishgard, level cap raise, the halloween event, the anniversary, 2017 Mog Bonanza... It's like saying, "Here's a picture of me when I was younger." EVERY PICTURE OF YOU IS WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER.

Hey, at least it gives more time for the proposal I had - just for kicks, giggles, and a great story to tell future generations of Eorzeans - to build a landmark inside Ishgard celebrating the true FFXIV 1.0 (Shameless plug to link in my signature).

Ugh Common sense.. " battle changes that they mentioned " Not Tweaks when the Battle system is in place, all there be left to do is tweaking.. such as the Targetting system that gets a "Tweaked every patch" and people make a joke out of it all the time LOL. and for about a year they will continue to "tweak" the battle system. When its in place " by 1.20 lastest will see info about Ishguard.
