WARRIOR STATS ALLOCATION

Hello everyone,
I'm a lvl 34 Warrior and im new to FFXIV and I was just looking to see if I can get any advice on what stats I should put my attributes in while lvling.. do I go some str and some vit or is it better to just go purely vit

Also, im assuming end game is pure vit

Any advice would be appreciated!

You don't need pure vit end game unless you're on the low end of the ilvl requirements.
It can be helpful, it's what I do. But strength is fine too. Better in some ways because you can have excess HP. Harder to have excess damage.

Excess hp varies from fight to fight, and the devs have a disturbing preference for spike damage in fights. It's easier to move around your accs to get more STR and less VIT when you need it for a fight than it is to set your bonus attributes for it. I keep a full set of STR accs on hand for this exact purpose.

As said before, full STR while you're leveling; swap to full VIT at 50.

if u can afford to cut VIT for some STR end game just do it Via ring , necklace, etc like Kitru said.
it best it keep your bonus stat at 30 vit. (T9 beak hit for 4-6 K and follow up with explosion for 2-7k in 11 sec, that not accounting if the explosion happen at the same time as swipe or aa, you can take close to 10k if that happen.)
I don't see any1 tanking T9 with Str stuff for another few month lol

You just asked one the things more discussed to the Warriors xD.

The Short Question is VIT for "Play it Safe". VIT if you wish Avoid Dramas and VIT if you do not wish deal with close minded Tanks.

1.- During the Leveling process the Vit Will help you survive, the VIT will be save your ass Many times specially as WAR...

2.- In End game VIT Will work usually better also. Most the healers will start moan if you do not have 8k+ hp...

In my opinion, at this point in the game. Square enix has "Removed" the challenge. Adding Echo buff, for everything.

The Echo buff will increase your Stats in a Good %. Then............ Nah Nah do not tell me you can remove it. Nobody will Remove it..........

Adding VIT at this point, probably is really worthless. but Why??

1.- Allow your Accesories choice your playstyle. If you will tank something Really hard, equip your VIT accesories. This will put you over 8.5k Hp with echo buff probably 9.0 or 9.5k. "This is Enough for you can Tank".

2.- If you will be the OFF tank, or you have "Echo buff" active or you will play "easy content". equip all your STR accesories and DPS.

A PLD or a Full Close minded VIT warrior compared with a 30 STR war, using STR accesories, is about 80 STR +. The DPS you can offer with 80 str is a decent bet, for speed up the runs.

In Conclusion any Tank PLD/WAR, Need a Hybrid DPS set.

I run full str at end game as an OT simply because the everything in the current end game content - coil2, can be tanked as an OT war with 8k in defiance.

I swapped to 30 Strength yesterday for Coil and happy with the results. This will probably be a permanent thing.

I think that for Warriors, once you've reached a certain gear level, you'll eventually have more VIT than you actually need.

HP gains are subject to diminishing returns and once you've reached a certain HP threshold (which varies every fight), any HP gains beyond that become less and less valuable. Meanwhile, Strength gains are always valuable (not subject to diminishing returns) and will actually increase your group's margins for error more than increasing your own HP total will.

I thought about making a new thread about VIT vs STR (Attribute Points and Gear). I'm pretty convinced that a true "BiS Warrior" has +30 STR and wears i70 Crafted Accessories and/or i110 Slaying.

With party buff, Defiance and food, I don't think it's necessary to have more than 9000 HP in any fight. Even 9k seems high. That's what I'm sitting at right now with +30 STR and Gryphonskin. My HP total was never threatened and DPS was high.

TL;DR: VIT +30 is soooooo 2.1

i have 30/30 STR on war and no issues, sitting at 8.5k hp with defiance/party buff
i can change over to PLD for the 30/30 VIT if needed tho 7.3k hp with party buff
