Actually this is excellent, because they could theoretically get the guys from Crystal Dynamics to help them out with the climbing aspects if they do in fact want to implement it.


Some kind of platforming would be cool, and fairly unique for this type of game. However, something like climbing ladders would break flow i think (I'm thinking of both FFXI and Vindictus here), everything sloooows down when you were excitedly making your way through the area before. It would be awesome to have some scenic points you get to with skillful platforming though.

Honestly if it's climbing, i'd take a context sensitive climbing action for sheer cliff surfaces. Jump option is nice too, but nothing like Attohwa Chasm style cliffs.
