    gem needs more race uniqueness

    greetings my fiends, after having played for a while i noticed something.

    all races are very similiar except for running animation and emotions. they use the same animations for weapon skills, abilities, normal hits and how they carry weapons in action mode. not even FFXi was like this. For example in FFXI elf male rangers were badass with a gun, using it with one hand, while humans used both hands.
    gnomes did a backflip when using Asuran fists(hand-tohand weapon skill) while other races did not. etc etc and many other differences.

    so how come FFXIV is not like this?

    They are working on it. 1.19 should have complete animation overhault, while 1.18 partial

    i see. I remember reading something about tat, but didnt think they would differentiate animations btween races, only weapon skills.

    Maybe WS comes first, but eventually they may overhaul animations from races too.

    It's not a must, but it would be much better. =)

    I find thoses animation great, personnaly, i'd rather they work on something else before that. Once the game is good to be really enjoyed, then why not. And why not have choice to choose wich stance you wan't to be (like Aion did recently).

    The Elezen male and female idle stance is exactly the same except the leg that sticks out is reversed.

    Actually all the races appear to hold weapons differently at least to me they seem too.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

    Had they not called them classes at all and only called them weapons by their weapon name would you really be complaining about that specifically?
