ive learned more about psychology and the nature of weirdos by playing MMO's than in any college course ive ever taken on the subject.

What I find bad about this whole thing is that she's not only being stalked, but that gm's have done nothing
I find having a Husband and baby to be an excellent repellent. Although with how long this has gone on, it may be a little weird and unbelievable if they suddenly pull the "I'm a guy!" or "I'm married" card...
The best thing about this thread is being from Midgardsormr and knowing what's going on and that there is no escape from the yellow.
READERS OF THE FUTURE: Welcome to this historically important Midgardsormr thread! I hope you enjoy reading about what it was like to play on this server before the great Banana crisis of 2015, Historia all Fantasia-ing into female Roegadyns, etc. Learn from the OP's experience and always be vigilant of the yellow one, who I assume will still be haunting Midgardsormr when you read this.
Seriously though, I really want to make an alt on this server just to see what the riff raff is all about. Almost as bad as the guy that started the flame war on his entire server over t1 healing gloves (post SCoB).
Every server has a few people like that. There's a particular player on my server who goes into emote spam mode every time he sees me, but I think he probably does it to everyone.
Player
a phone number and email is much more personal. They can contact you out outside of the game. Spamming emotes in a game is not as bad as someone spamming your phone? Also, phones have a gps now. Could easily be tracked.
My character name has a much harder time of tracking me down irl, unless you have your character name listed some where with phone number and address. Which I would have to ask.. Why?

You are right that often the difference between "aww that's so sweet" and "stop looking at me like I'm a steak dinner" is how "into" the person you are, but that doesn't mean that all men are completely safe. Those movies you speak of are probably something you saw on lifetime, and they are all based on true stories. TRUE stories. There's a saying circulating around because of the "Yes all women" movement - Men are afraid women will laugh at them, women are afraid men will kill them. There are irrational women everywhere who watch too many movies that are weirded out by guys they do not find attractive who have expressed their interest in them and meet these guys on a pretty regular basis in real life. You can't just, like, ban that person from your workplace just because you don't like them.
There's a lot of really great guys out there that can take no for an answer, but the guys like the one the OP is talking about - you really just can't take chances. The OP did the right thing in getting away from that person. I just hope the next target is as smart. People like that are unstable and it has nothing to do with "women watching too much tv." Frankly, that comment is a bit of an insult.
