You know... There was this one time when I played a Female Blood Elf Paladin in World of Warcraft. This Rogue would keep ganking me and trying to flirt with me. I didn't feel like making an Alliance character to tell him to stop being a weirdo. So then Blizzard comes out with their pre-expansion event for Wrath of the Lich King where everyone becomes zombies and etc.

After hours of kiting players around and murdering them because I was a Paladin and that's what Paladins do, dude ganks me and we become zombies. So I tell him that I'm a dude and to please stop bothering me right before i suicide and continue my zombie killing spree.

He doesn't, but one day I just stop caring and eventually he just stops playing the game or something.

Maybe you should read the whole thread.
the last time i was in this thread the entirety of the harassment was exclusively ingame and restricted to a single character

how hard is it to ignore someone? you can even filter out the notification of emotes in your preferred chat channel.

Why is someone emailing/texting you a problem? According to you, the game isn't real. The game is on the internet. Your email is on the internet. Your cellphone is essentially a crappy computer.......
Because, obviously, your phone number and email are much more personal details than your avatar in a videogame.

Are we really having this conversation?
