Reaching 2,000 Myth Cap...

And I have no desire to spend them on anything but atma books. But one problem... I still haven't farmed all of my atma pieces.

So is there any item that you can buy with myth tomes that you can sell for the same amount? Because I don't want to spend them on anything like gear, I have no need for that.

You cant buy those crafting mats for 500 myth and sell them?

No, unfortunately you either spend them or get capped. Sorry, I know it sucks, but those are your only two options.

You could also spend a few myth when hit cap on the crafting items. So you can at least sell them for some Gil if you don't need the gear.

You've already geared out all jobs in i90+ and relic zeniths? If you're going to smack into the myth cap you may as well grab i90 gear for some alt classes or pick up some Mists for a future relic. Spending a few hundred here and there will still keep you above 1500 to buy your first book.

Basically I just bought things that I knew I would need or sort of wanted anyway when I was approaching the stupidly low 2,000 myth cap and hadn't acquired all of my atma yet. Quenching oils, mists, etc. are good if you intend at all to level another job. Crafting items from myth are selling for less gil everyday unfortunately (for you), but there are options. Nothing as nice as going over the very low 2K cap, but there are things you can do with the surplus.

What I did was just buy a single crafting piece, max two so I'd spend at most 1000 myth. I didn't want to be caught off guard when its time to get my atma book. That way I made gil and remained ready for atma books.

I was about to say I don't know why a cap has to exist in the first place but presumably when they introduce the next Tome they'll do a Myth to Soldiery conversion and don't want players suddenly being able to buy all the new token gear in the first week. Think of all those unused hamster wheels!
