FACTION LEVES ITEMS

Wasnt sure if there was other post like this but anyways heres what im asking for.

I've done every faction leve and it takes a lot of time to farm 400 points to get the chance to do one of those leves, besides the fact that the drop rate is awful for that much trouble we have, the items are worthless because some of their stats are lower than new gear and in some cases are equal like the templars haubergeon with the cavalry haubergeon, just 4 stats more on defense.

The buccaneers shirts looks great but those stats are kinda gimp, as an archer i can get the bowmans tunic and have almost same stats on str and have 6 dexterity too, so in my opinion i find more useful the second one.

So why should i spend my time and points in something that is worthless in some way because i can get a similar item with a reduced cost?

So what im asking to the dev team is that why dont you overhaul those faction items so they can have the best stats in game at least for now, so if you get the chance to have one, you will have the best gear possible and now would worth the effort and leave the same %chances of getting it.

Please if you like that to be changed press LIKE and i would appreciate a few comments too

I agree that most of the Templar's set and Buccaneer's set could use some modifications to make them stand out more, but the Harlequin's set is definitely a marked improvement to most of the regular mage gear.

As for balancing those items, let's wait and see. They're in the middle of changing the Armory System (and recipes) and rebalancing how meaningful stats are, so I'd imagine we may get some changes after this is done.

Also, I agree that the drop rate is pretty bad, but it's actually a *good thing* IMHO. This game is too easy as is. Camping the Mid-Level NMs with the ~1 minute - 5 minute respawn timer, and getting all your drops you want in the matter of a few kills is far too convenient, removing any sense of accomplishment.

So while it's nice if you got an Allagan Runestone more often, it'd just devalue these items even more.

Right now, it feels rare and special that you got an Allagan Runestone (I have mage friends who are still trying to finish up their Harlequin set, which is at least something to work towards, instead of having things dropped in one's lap).

The drop rates and requirements are a bit steep but given enough time one could simply buy the set they want from another player.

but given the chances of getting it by your own, wouldnt be better if the stats of every piece were the best of all currently equipment we have at the moment?

Get cool looking gear with same/little better stats, put some awesome materia on them and make it better. Now you got yourself a good looking gear with better stats than the old.

I hope that's how Materia Craft works.... lol sounded like it from the interviews I read.

As I've gathered, it seems that most of these items exist mostly for the appearance and not because they are the best pieces of gear of their kind. I still wear a full Buccaneer's set just because I like the look
