Baby Opo Opo Pet drop needs to be fixed

Last night the pet dropped into the inventory of someone who already had the pet, while the other three did not yet.
Is there some way we can make it an actual role with need and greed.
If you have the pet you can only greed on it, while if you don't have it you can need on it?
The way it is now, a person who already has the pet could feasibly always get the pet over people who have yet to get it.

I've farmed for the Opo minion more than I have for the atma and only seen it twice. Neither times it dropped for me.

..... Funny I never saw anyone complaining about the coil crafting materials drops. Nor primal materials drops. It's funny when you know they work the exact same way : given randomly to one guys in the party. That's called RNG. If you don't like it, farm the dungeon with 3 friends and share the loots

1) Coil & primal mats are in no way like this. While I could feasibly do something with all those mats, I am in the minority, that and they are for housing and those that have housing are also in the minority. Whereas a minion can be used by anyone, including lvl 1 characters.
2) The minion is a random drop/non looted drop off of the last boss of Brayflox HM

3) Minions have NEVER dropped like this, or at least the ones that I have found (seedling, slimes, demon brick are the ones that pop to mind). They were always in chests that could be rolled on and still are even though they appear more randomly now. Granted you could argue that a chest roll holds the same rng behind the scenes, which is why I would love a greed only option (on all minions would be nice) if you already have it and need if you don't. At least with a chest roll you might be running with some decent people who would be willing to pass. It just seems odd that this drop should be any different than the ones that drop in other dungeons.
4) Buying it is not the point. The point is that it shouldn't randomly drop into the inventory of someone who already has it.

No minion drop has never been like that, they have always drop from chest in old dungeon and you can roll Need/Greed on it. Baby Opo-Opo seems to be the first one that drop randomly into others inventory.

The only real difference between randomly dropping and rolling is that with a greed roll, you have to push a button giving you a false sense that you actually have control.....
