My bags are full, my retainers are full. If I do housecleaning to get more space I always end up with that free space being filled in less than a day

Please. Give me an option to increase inventory space using in-game Gil. And please, give us a way to check what's in our retainers bags without having to dig through each and every one of them.

Just throw away all the items you can easily gather and you never wants to destroy because you never know when you could need them.( and when you need them you gather them instead of checking your retainer )

It seems you are unaware that you can purchase 2 additional retainers?
When they released this option as well in a recent interview they stated as to why it cost money. It was said in a recent interview that only 1/3 the player base even uses 80% of both retainers. As such they added the retainers you can buy with real money. In game currency does not pay for server repairs/upgrades/larger loads that's come from having these additional characters.

There is no reason that people who try to make the most out of all the classes this game throws at us should have to pay more money per month.

With all crafting and gathering classes and a good chunk of the battle classes leveled, I can keep an extremely minimal stock of base mats for each class and still not have nearly enough space for fishing tackle, a handful of vanity gear/weapons, foods/pots and other day to day items without picking and pruning items out of my inventory trying to make space for everyday tasks(increasing the traffic to their "storage servers".

I understand that it takes up some storage server traffic, but expecting us to pay 25% more a month to play than everyone else is a slap to the face.

Having extra retainers be rewards for 3 and 6-month subs... that would be cool.
Making a "long term storage" that could only be accessed on a timer (once per 8 hours) would also help their traffic costs.
Having an extremely grindy mission that required you to level all of the non-battle classes and attain a legendary main hand in one of them to unlock more retainers (1 for DoL, 1 for DoH) would limit the extra traffic to those that really need it.

Instead they just stuck their hands out asking for more money.

It's not really a data trafficking issue but more of a data storage issue. The way they have it now, only a small fraction of the user base will get flagged for needing that extra memory on the servers. By allowing everyone to access it, the requirements will go up 10 folds (thus requiring more resources for something very few people actually need).

It's a sour treatment to those who view this as a needs rather then a luxury but from a business stand point, it's probably the best compromise they could create regarding the issue.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional. If you're here for the long run you are just going to have to give in and pay for another retainer.
