    Pet switching macro help.

I'm looking to make a Summoner macro that automatically forces my pet to switch to the target I'm currently attacking. As of now, even in Obey, my pets will lock onto a target and stick to it unless I call them off.

I've tried putting Obey in macros, but it doesn't do anything but activate Obey stance. Any help would be appreciated.

When you target a mob and click obey, your pet will switch targets and attack that mob, so in sense obey has 2 features, places pet in obey if you don't have a target, and forces it to attack the target your focused on while placing it in obey if it wasn't already.
I have Obey in my hotbar and whenever I want my pet to attack a specific target, i click on them and use obey, I don't think I have noticed any issues doing it that way.
Maybe your having issues because your not targeting the mob and clicking obey?

I'm looking more for a macro that will automatically force my pet to switch to whatever target I'm casting Ruin or Bio II on. More of an automatic micro-managing macro. I could put Obey on my bar, but that's not the result I'm looking for. I want my pet to react to my casting of Bio II or Ruin as if I just hit the Obey command.

    Hope that makes sense.

Oh, in that case... you can try
    /micon "Bio II"
    /ac "Bio II" <t>
    /pac "Obey" <t>

It should cast bio II and make your pet attack target, I tested it out a little, seemed to work, you can always replace the "Bio II" for whatever spell u need.

    Perfect!

I had the command "/pac "Obey" <me>" in my macro. This would active Obey Stance on my pet, but wouldn't make him switch to my target. So I think it's safe to say that the Obey command has two functions. Using "/pac "Obey" <me>" puts your pet in Obey Stance, while "/pac "Obey" <t>" causes your pet to switch to your current target.

    I appreciate the information.

Don't forget that you can command your pet outside of your own casting and cooldowns. So, if you're only binding Obey to a skill, it would be best if that was your first skill cast. I don't know if /pac before /ac would get the pet on target faster.

I can understand if you're using a controller with a big premium on keybinds, but I don't feel comfortable without at lest obey, steady, place, and heel.

I wouldn't do this since you'll want to cleave dots often in later fights without moving Garuda around. Just put obey somewhere easy to hit and toggle it when you need to.

Yea, its much better to have Obey on your hotbar instead of on your spells as a macro, for the same reasons Madoka said.
