It will be more obvious once you start play SMN/SCH and/or when other classes that you play get split jobs.I don't understand the stat points personally. I don't really feel like I had a choice.
If it was global for your character, and not per job, and made you either focus on being a healer, being a tank, or being DPS it would make sense, but since it's job-specific there's really no point to it.
Learn, explore, and think for yourself. Make your choices, take actions, and let yourself be free.
Would be much more interesting if we chose from secondary stats rather... and could reallocate on the fly (out of combat) for free.
Entering a PvP environment, let me swap to crit/skill-speed...
Short a little accuracy in a new raid encounter, I can fix that.
It's different for every role, but it's most useless on Healer. As our ilv increases, so does the stats attached to the gear. While +30 to our main stat was pretty significant when we were ilv70 transitioning into i90, our now i90 -> 100 -> 110 is making it more worthless. The new level increase should rebalance this (I'm assuming we'll be getting an additional +20~30 more to our attribute points), but as of right now it's meh.
Disclaimer: for a DPS, +30 is huge, and for Tanks it's just as important. For healers, tbh I can see them going into VIT to help with Second Coil until they have high enough gear.
They should just drop the system and just give everyone's base main stat 30 more points. Literally the only thing the system does is discourage scholar from playing summoner and vice versa. Not really a smn fan myself(Dealing with adds is frustrating, unless they spawn in bane range), but that's not really giving you options so much as it's taking options away from you.
Even so, 30-40 per heal is not going to make or break any of the fights in game. Going on percentages gives a false overview of their total value as we are still using pretty low numbers. Avg 1000 on cure 1 or 1030. is more accurate than just stating a ~3% increase.
Not stating it doesn't hurt to have, but also putting into Vit for healers doesn't hurt either XD
I'd been running VIT on WHM this whole time and this morning figured I'd give MND a whirl. I was hoping that the higher iLvl and whatnot would allow for at least a little snowballing, but instead I pretty much just got a 30 HP cured increase. I'll probably switch back later today.
I've been running Piety for scholar since 2.0, and I absolutely love it. There is no need for big heals for any content right now, all minds from equipment is more than enough.
But 30 stats would mean about 1 or 2 equipment stats, which is quite alot if you ask me.
On my WAR, I originally had all of my attribute points relegated to VIT. Then, on the advice from someone, I respecced my attribute points to move 10 points from VIT to STR. The difference was actually VERY noticeable! Yeah, my HP wasn't as high as it was (though still more than high enough to tank properly), but I was dealing a LOT more damage on average.
Depends on jobs. And play style. But 1 thing for sure is having 15 points in vit is good.
Heli's Black Market open for business. Sells black market items for your exotic needs.
closed for business till further notice
Maxed VIT on all jobs. Every time I end up with a little tiny life for any reason, makes me think I were not wrong.
