So, we know he can transcend aether and possess people with the Dark Crystal. So, what type of role do you think he will play as the game progresses? To recall, we didn't quite kill him, he is one of the Ascian Overlords, and so he's part of the leadership. Zodiark and the Ascians, wonder what they'll do?

It's obvious the Ascians will be playing an increasingly major role in the storyline as the major antagonists of the game. Elidibus's comments at the end of the 2.1 story definitely show this (especially as he has no obvious affection for Lahabrea.), as the Garleans have more or less been pushed into the background for the time being. The storyline is still pretty young, so it can go in any direction really. The 2.3 patch storyline will probably be particularly interesting.
