Phasing out of dungeons every patch cycle

My partner brought this up the other day and I had been thinking something similar lately. Why is it that even dungeons released in 2.1 give less soldiery than the three dungeons released in 2.2? I do not think the 2.1 dungeons are substantially easier than the dungeons released in 2.2. I feel this is counter productive and makes content obsolete too fast, wasting development time invested in these dungeons. What do you all think? What are some good reasons you think SE might have for doing things this way?

They want people running the new content, plain and simple. I would rather run something new to get tomes or gear than grinding the same old dungeon that has been around for months.

I would assert that people will run the new dungeons because they are new. I think that having six dungeons to grind soldiery off of rather than 3 per patch would help break up some of the monotony.

Cleverly, all 6 dungeons provide 50 mythos, though.

I haven't had to run dungeons for soldieries in weeks. Just doing the main 2 roulettes (Trial and High level) for the lovely mythos ends up capping my soldieries well before the end of the week.

I do run a bunch of the new dungeons to help FC mates cap their soldieries, and I love the higher level gear drops from there. Personally, I am very happy that all 8 level 50 dungeons are still kinda relevant (I get plenty of WP and AK from roulette runs, so I don't actually queue for those on my own, short of working on a new relic)

It's hard to justify equality when there's different ilvl and skill level requirements involved.

Would be nice if they were equal of at least offered more myth than the expert dungeons but oh well it be out of my control.

Get done with atma, then you run old places again as they are part of the books.

Newest dungeons in the Game have always provided most of the "atm most interesting tomes". In 2.1 you could get most myth tomes in Hauke and Copperbell, in 2.2 you can get most Strat tomes in the new HM dungeons.

But I agree, this system takes care that "old" (speaking of only a quarter of a year) dungeons will be frequented a lot less after new ones are released. To add to it, the new HM dungeons really are easier than the old ones. The only dungeon I see people struggle with is Ampador HM because of the door mechanics on the last boss. Maybe they took the ATMA books into count knowing players will chase them in masses so they made the new dungeons easy and quick to do.
