DPS wait times

I have hit a wall this past week with the duty finder. As a DPS the 30 minute-2 hour wait time for duties is taking away from my experience with the game. As a level 50 dragoon I still have to obtain the ultimate weapon and run through certain dungeons to unlock roulettes. The issue is no one is ever available for duties. Wassup?

In which timezone do you live and at which times do you play?
Apart from that, are you queueing for specific dungeons or are you experiencing long waiting times on Duty roulette as well?
Never mind, this was answered in the opening post.

I personally play on European prime time (6PM -> 10PM GMT) and I play DPS only, my waiting times on roulette queues rarely exceed 5 minutes at those times.
If you experience long waiting times around your playtimes and aren't bound by a Linkshell or Free company or real life friends playing on that server you may want to consider moving to a server on a datacenter with more players that play at the times you play at.

Other then that, you may indeed want to ask your Linkshell/FC members for help on those you still need.

In which timezone do you live and at which times do you play?

I also play in european timezones, and doing roulette I rarely have times longer than 5 minutes. Doing specific dungeons takes a maximum of 15 minutes, and that's not a big deal.

The only problem I had was with Chimera, which took more than an hour.

Ever since 2.2 we can see the average wait time for melee and ranged dps separately. If I am on drg, or mnk I always have an average wait time of under 6 min and rarely wait more then 3-4. If switch to blm, brd, or smn they have a 15-22 min average wait time and usually wait 30+ min for a dungeon. This is the number one reason people ussualy have long waits, they don't realize that ranged DPS get hard core raped by the way df prioritizes/sets up party.

Also make sure you tick all the language options unless you want English only (like anyone talks in dungeons anyway!)

Interesting idea re: languages, I've had mine set to just english, but it never even occurred to me to tick all of them, to open up more possible party members. I've been having lots of issues even getting the duties for my relic and the last 2 dungeons needed to unlock the high level roulette.

To speed up the matching in Duty Finder try to do as much as possible of the below:

1. Select all languages
2. Select Join party in progress
3. Try to do the most "needed" dungeons right after Duty Roulette timer reset (3 PM GMT, e.g. curently 17:00 CEST)
4. If possible pair up with someone on healer or tank class (can't join the DR like that though at the moment)

OP you are in the Japanese datacenter so turning that on in the dutyfinder if you weren't already will probably solve your problems.

Joining party in progress is really rolling the dice. I used it a few times and every single time I zoned into an empty dungeon. It's a terrible option to have. I understand why they did it... but I also understand why other game's didn't.
