I think you've misunderstood my statement. Hordes as in individuals frequently making their own free company, rather than joining others in their effort to make a free company.

And "forced grouping" is silly. People are only calling it that because it's obvious that you have to be in a group. It wouldn't be any different otherwise. The bulk of players would still need to form parties to clear dungeons. And as far as FCs go, to make them viable and get benefits they would still need people in the FC with them to accrue the necessary gil and mats and what have you for the FC.
