I said nothing about duty finder. I thought people would obviously assume I was talking about PF since t6-9 aren't available via duty finder, and t5, well, nobody DF's t5. I don't see why any individual person saying they don't watch videos is a problem if they run the hard content in Party Finder learning parties. At least I personally am not jumping in Duty Finder or "Experience Onry" groups. Besides, you're missing the point that some people don't learn well from videos. That's the point I was trying to make and I used Hydra because that was my experience. Congrats that Hydra was so easy for you that you got it on the first try after watching a video. But try to realize that not everyone learns things the same way.

Do these work on your server? My server they rarely get filled up or take forever. So many of the players try hopping into "Know the fight parties and Experience" ones in hopes of trying to get it done. You usually can spot them easily and the group ends up disbanding after a couple of tries.

But, NO, I derive no joy in doing that, nor do I have any desire to waste other peoples time or my own. But people joining stuff on the duty finder/roulette should NOT be expected to have clears or studied video.

There is fun and joy in figuring things out for themselves. The elitist speedrunners do NOT get decide how a game is fun. And they can't force undergeared and/or inexperienced players to go any faster, just like you can not expect a 7 year old to dunk a basketball. Some things take time and practice.

Most of the problems show up on duty finder. Why the hell would there even be problem in party finder. You already specified all the requirements and the applied all the filters etc. You know who your are getting and what you are getting into. I've really never enjoyed playing any game like it's a job. And trust me, the majority of the time, I do team up with like minded players. An instance of what I spoke about was a HM primal, where we only needed to pick up two DPS, to complete the party. I informed them I was new, and they ripped into me without even a seconds pause.

The latter the party is free to assemble whatever party they want and nothing anyone can do about it. The former, well it is df ignore wipe for a few to learn or get carried then make your own party

This is the point where DPS actually have to have knowledge of how to play their job, EX and Coils. Other than that you can literally take someone who has never played the game before, let them read tool tips on their skills and run dungeons. Some evidence of this? Our bard's fiance filled in for him for two runs of brayflox last night while he took his kids to soccer practice she'd never played the game and was able to hold her own for the most part. DPS anything non coil/ex related is pretty roll face.

Please, tanking and healing anything pre-EX/Coil is pretty rollface.

SCH's can AFK entire low-level dungeons, MRD/WAR can overpower 3-4 times than go to sleep until the mob is dead. WHMs can regen everyone and go make dinner, PLD just does one combo over and over while tabbing through enemies. At certain times in certain dungeons the pressure ramps up on one role or another (Bray healer, Stone Vigil tank, Qarn DPS) but it's all pretty easy.
