20% Coil Buff Not Being Implemented???

I think I'm very unlucky cuz I have been farming turn 1 for that elusive caster visor like mask head piece and more often then not the groups I joined through DF still wipe with the 15% echo, So I think they should add the 20% echo buff for the unlucky players.

We originally announced that every two weeks we would be increasing the Echo bonus; however, looking at the current rate of clears and the balance of the rewards being obtained, we’ve decided to halt increasing the bonus further.

Honestly idk how SE didn't see this coming. As if old coil wasn't overkill already with new ilv gear out. But an echo buff on top of that ? Any more and they might as well just send free i90 Allagan gear to all through mog mail.

I'm not really that bothered about the reasoning behind the lack of further echo. I am however bothered that, once again it's taken way too long to communicate things to the players. If you're going to NOT do something you have on a freaking calendar, I imagine you knew about it BEFORE that date came & went. People do plan around announced changes and this goes against planning.

SE is horrible about timely information. Just something I've gotten use to.

If only SE gave information when it needs to be given. It now looks some dev saw this thread and was like "Oh crap, we forgot about that 20%.. Camate, work your magic!"

I completely agree with no further buff being implemented. It's just rather late in the day which comes off rather lazy.

Since the introduction of the Echo bonus to the Binding Coil of Bahamut, the development team has been looking at the number of times players have been challenging it as well as the number of parties that are clearing the content each day.

We originally announced that every two weeks we would be increasing the Echo bonus; however, looking at the current rate of clears and the balance of the rewards being obtained, we’ve decided to halt increasing the bonus further.

The team will continue to look at the conditions day to day as we move forward and consider increasing the bonus further if it is deemed necessary.

Honestly, that's beside the point. The content was beatable before the echo boost was implemented and obviously a wave of clears have occurred since its release to allow for them to halt further dumbing it down. With all 5 turns being on DF and spammable, people should have had every opportunity to get the T5 clear, plus gear their alts in every i90 piece they could possibly need/want out of there, before moving on to Soldiery farming and High Allagan.

If people are still losing to T5, it's not a lack of HP/DMG/Heal support. It's the mechanics, which they aren't going to adjust (likely, maybe one day, far off). Now it's a matter of getting better or staying behind the masses.

I'm on T7, but farming T5 gears from time to time. For the past 2 weeks, all the DF groups wipes at the dive or the twister.... ALL of them...=_=;

Or it could be that everyone forgot when they mentioned that scheduling for increasing the Echo may change depending on overall progress in the binding coil.

Only problem with this is that just like Yoshi P said he doesn't want to allow "ninja updates" to happen in this game, this situation has basically turned into that. I don't really care about this specific case that much, but for future reference SE, if you say you're going to do something, announce it when you change your mind.
