    Visible debuffs please ^^ READ! =D

    I was thinking how cool it would be if we had/could see visible debuffs on either or the monsters and the players.

    I'm sure any Final Fantasy fan knows what I am talking about. The little "... in a speech bubble" thing for silence, and a black cloud over the face representing blind, or purple hue tint representing poison.

    These would be visually aesthetic, easier for players to identify in the heat of combat, and helps to capture that FF essence the developers trying to add to FFXIV.

    Lol they need to get it done though =P
    This is something I always missed in FFXI, it really brings great staples from the franchise to any ff title. It's like chocobo's or moogles lol

    Any kind of effect that's visible outside the stat bar would be fantastic. If your group is fighting more than one monster its hard to tell when one has worn off or not without constantly mashing your arrow or tab key :/

    Doesn't have to be a brand new animation or anything either, a simple particle effect would do!

    I personally dislike the idea. For one, I think investing time or manpower in this idea is a huge waste of time. I would much rather have it invested in gameplay additions then asthetics.

    Yeah, it would both look cool and be useful.

    I don't think investing time or manpower on little animations would be a huge waste of time. A small waste of time, maybe, but it's not like all programmers have to stop doing their jobs to make sure the (...) speech bubble looks nice. It's not top priority, but it would be a nice visual addition that would also improve gameplay.

    I like it. It'd add more to the Final Fantasy feel of the game. It's not purely aesthetic either, it'd be a lot easier than looking at their status bar alone.
