I got a lvl 30 thaumaturge but i need a 15 archer too, Can I create that one on another server cause the one that the thaumaturge is on is locked for some reason (Moogle), which means i cant create more characters on that server even though I only have one on the server.

You can level archer on the same character as your THM. Your class changes depending which weapon you have equipped. If you go to Gridania to the archer guild you can pick up the quest to unlock it.

Try to read all the tutorials that pop when u play, this informatio is explained there, go to the archers guild on gridania and get archer on your same char

One of the biggest appeals of FF14 is that unlike the majority of other MMO's you only NEED 1 character, as it can play every class including crafts. I found it very helpful when I first started was I unlocked every class as I went to each city, including crafts. and leveled all combat classes to 15. You learn a lot about different game mechanics, and you get a lot of information that helps you figure out what to do next. This gives you access to amazing cross class skills to use while you level up your classes. Another thing is that you will, once you start doing endgame, need quelling strikes eventually so keep in mind that one day you will need to take you archer to lvl 32. I also noticed when lvling up until around 44 you have an excess of missions(assuming you do a couple repeats of dungeons to make sure your gear is staying up to date) which can be used to help level your subclass/alt job. Don;t forget guildheist either the One time bonus is a great boost for making xp and gil.

Only one minor correction to Urielparadox. You get "Quelling strikes" at lvl 34 not 32. Just a minor quibble.

Also since you (original poster) seem new. Once you decide what your main "job" will be level it all the way to 50. Once you have a class at 50 you will get a bonus to leveling all of your other classes. If you combine the bonus with your rested bonus you are effectively leveling your other classes 2x as fast. (+50% for rested and +50% for armory bonus = +100% bonus xp).

I believe you wanted to unlock Black Mage (JOB) by leveling thaumaturge to 30 and archer to 15. Both classes need to be leveled on the same character.
