I'm an old school FF11 player, quit around the the middle of WoTG, so when looking at what we have been given thus far some positive feedback to Squeenix is due.

Artifact/Relic Armor: Thank you merciful god, the FFXI artifact sets were for the most part pathetic, with usually 1 useful piece, the relic not normally being an improvement. Here we have armor that not only looks great but is fully functional

Fates: Complain all you want, but if you had to sit for hours LFP in Jeuno you know how much more interesting leveling is, yes it takes away from the social interaction, but hey thats what FC and linkshells are for

Job Balance: I'm not saying it's perfect yet but its a hell of a lot better than XI's system, jobs have a specified niche/style of combat,

Relics: I'm not going to go into the whole Atma thing right now, I've only started it, however having relic weapons attainable by people who work hard and not funnel hundreds of millions in gil feels nice.
