    If players were evenly split in all 3 major cities, there would be more room to place retainers. The problem's still there though. XIV's player base is incredibly small. The people who designed the MW system must have forgotten about limitations unless they knew their player base would remain ridiculously small, and that's negative thinking early on in development and I'm guessing the true story is they didn't think it through.

    Away with the MW system, it's EXACTLY what the auction house in FFXI is, except it adds unnecessary and complicated steps to what can easily be accomplished via a simple UI menu.

    Or, maybe, they can just make a menu/text based system that's simple, easy to use, user friendly, and doesn't have a million drawbacks or limits.

    Why does everything have to be so complicated? Why does everything have to have a drawback (or a dozen)? Are you guys masochists?

    They wanted to add in a more life-like element to buying/selling. It was a design on paper that looked great, but in practice clearly fails.

    I still think the market ward system is fantastic, when coupled with a TRUE menu-style auction house. Market wards can be free places for players to park their retainers to sell high ticket or rare items they would rather not sell and get taxed in the Auction House. This system already existed through community in FFXI where players stood outside Battalia Downs or wherver it was on each server, and set their bazaars and sold high ticket items to avoid the high tax of the auction house.

    The Market Wards would only serve as a seperate instanced location, organized, for players to sell their goods via bazaar. If other players wanted to, they could go browsing around for stuff. Sometimes it's fun to do this.

    Seriously, the Auction House system + Separate Bazaaring was PERFECT! I cannot understand why in the heck SE refuses to implement an AH. Currently I have no idea to locate anything in these damned Market Wards. That search feature is pure crap!

    SE, quit dancing around it and just implement the Auction House already! The world will thank you!

    That was the purpose of Ward resets -- However people complained about it.

    Complaining is a double edge sword.
    Try to see through the surface.
    Ward resets were just a crutch for a inherently flawed system.
