Missed Events

I'm not sure if this is where i should be posting this or if there is already a thread about it, but for all the players who missed the Lightning events and such for personal reasons or maybe they weren't even playing at the time will there ever be a way or time to get those rewards again or are we all just screwed?

If you weren't able to participate in the Shantotto, Dragon Quest or either Lightning Returns event then you've pretty much missed out. Each was to commemorate specific events in the respective tie-in games, notably the anniversary/release of said games. Anniversary events aren't usually a yearly affair and a game can normally only celebrate it's release once. Lightning Returns was special as it wasn't released in Western countries till after it's Japanese release.

I can understand how you'd be a little upset, but this is why events usually run for 2-3 weeks so that everyone has a chance at them. Sorry you didn't have the time.

I doubt it as that was to coincide with the release of the new lightning game, but you never know if there are enough requests they might consider bringing it back or make the items available in another way, so for people that want it brought back all they need to do is make their voice heard on the forums.

Didnt Yoshi say they MIGHT bring the shantoto event back at some point? I was lazy and didnt do those ones, they were over before I remembered, but there might be hope.

Lightning I doubt will come back, as they already brought it back once, unless they release ff13-4 <_<

I wish there was a way for me to get the Lightning Returns hair on my new account. I completed the event on my first Service Account but had to remake due to a mix up in regards to Collector Edition.


All they really have to do is enable it on my new account...

SE could have an NPC stationed near the event starter NPCs that sell previously obtainable gear for some outrageous price, like 100k/piece. This way, you can do the event and get the stuff for free, or get it later for a price of RL kicks you in the no-nos and you can't participate. Plus, it gets gil out of circulation.

Forget Lightning. This is the way how 1-time events works. And the Lightning event only came a second time because Lightning Return got a second release after the JP release.
With some luck, we would get a FF XV event ^^

Already ingame for bonus items you got already once, for seasonal items you participated in the events and quest items you earned once. But he don't sell gear from the Lightning event.

Think they said something about maybe having another FFXI collaboration, but like Felis ^ said, probably not the same event.
