Jump Fatigue {Can I Have It}

Vagrant Story had jumping!
So did Super Mario RPG!

I didn't like Vagrant Story and didn't play Super Mario RPG :P but what i mean is: today a game needs to be open-world, have jump, awesome graphics, and endless action to be good. So most of the games are the same. I gave up my hopes for really good games long time ago.

My only hope is the possibility of deactivating jump, so I don't have to see ppl jumping around with their awesome looking FINAL FANTASY(!!!) characters.

On a serious note, I can't see why it shouldn't be added for jumping large gaps in around the world, like from one cliff to another, or climbing mountains for something awesome at the top (NM or something, who knows).. They're wasting their time if it's not for gameplay.

Because they have to redesign the whole game to make this possible. And seriously, I never wanted a game like this. I like the actual game feeling. This game is something different to other MMORPG's - just let it be a Final Fantasy

Would you prefer Tetris? Because even that has had its changes over the years. A game that does not innovate cannot succeed.

I was fine with the game, you will never be. So who's happier and didn't expect too much?
I'm really looking forward to the most of the changes and content, but why should they change the whole game style oO jumping does not fit. It even doesn't if they redesign all areas. But it seems like everybody want that jump sh1t, so I don't want to stay a rock in this thread.

I have one.. Of course I like some of the new games, but I'm not gonna play them again - nothing special.

Thank you, but I don't like DQ that much.. I'm not the biggest fan of the Enix-part in Square Enix.
I'll just wait until jump is implemented..it's too early to say how bad it is.
I just want this game to be Final Fantasy, thats all.

You should really stop assuming things about people. SE is changing the game because they need it to be financially viable. It takes money to maintain an mmo. The game you enjoy and didn't assume too much on will not be a game for long if it doesn't stay afloat come PS3 launch.

That is "YOUR" opinion, and in my opinion jumping fits perfectly and I see ZERO negatives to it. People are just looking for something to whine about and picked this for reasons I do not understand.
