Well, if you've completed some of the Limsa quests, you know that Lalafell have the best 'distance' of all the races already. ^-~
I personally wouldn't mind having FFVII style-jumping.
Well, if you've completed some of the Limsa quests, you know that Lalafell have the best 'distance' of all the races already. ^-~If there are so many catgirls is just coz that race is cool and people like seeing them. if u make hyur to jump highter than lalafell, they can surpass obstacles that others cant, and that is totally unacceptable. they will never benefit a race against other one, so for that reason, forget to see a cool and perfect jump for everybody. someone will jump too low or someone will jump too high, but all races will have the same posibilities.
And that will be totally uncool:
- A Hyur jumping enough high to surpass an obstacle, but the game will not alow him coz visual jump dont fit real jump height
- A Hyur jumping so low that seems.. stupid coz i can jump highter and i am not a Hero.
- A lalafell jumping low but your character allow to surpass a obstacle and your character "cross" through it.
- A lalafell jumping so high that it would seem unrealistic or uncool.
is a hard decision, and not everyone will be happy.

At least jumping doesn't fill up my combat log or have annoying sounds.
World of Warcraft and the Final Fantasy we play appeal to very different audiences (imo). Do people really feel that if they add jump, those types of players will go "finally!!!" and just start flocking over in hordes...?
Interesting point... and I really hope you're right lol.
By itself no. But jumping, along with a lot of other minor things that are missing from this game server to make gameplay fun and modern.
I personally believe the only MMO that will flock all of those types of players away is a new MMO by Blizzard. I played WoW, for a while, I grew bored at the end of Sunwell when they homoginized all of the classes. I've tried pulling a few people away, for a few different MMOs, 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work. I don't see FFXIV ever becoming a game that could.
Of course not. But I can guarantee you that the vast majority of the people who had an interest in this game, or bought it and left, put it down because the gameplay was a step back from everything else that's out right now, FFXI included.I personally believe the only MMO that will flock all of those types of players away is a new MMO by Blizzard. To use your logic, people shouldn't be trying to make this into FFXI-2, because the people who like FFXI already play it and aren't going to dump it for this game. FFXIV needs to be fun and modern in its own right.
Which I completely agree with.Of course not. But I can guarantee you that the vast majority of the people who had an interest in this game, or bought it and left, put it down because the gameplay was a step back from everything else that's out right now, FFXI included.

It makes no sense why people complain about jumping. Even if someone does it 20000 times a session does it really matter? Mind your own business and let people do what they want. Like seriously it doesn't affect you in anyway.
I'm not a troll I'm just the voice of truth :P
