Wood Wailer's Jacket (Can I Have It?)

Does the Wood Wailer's Jacket show up in your inventory?

I just repaired it but have not spoken to the NPC to complete the quest. However, the jacket doesn't appear in my inventory list and so I cannot give it to my retainer.

Hopefully they didn't make it impossible to keep with the v1.18 patch.

You will have to show it to the NPC first, who will ask you to equip it (on your own) to try it out.

That is when the jacket appears in your inventory.

There's a trick to keep it. Craft it the first time and give it to your retainer, then go back to the NPC to get materials to make another one. Complete the quest and the first jacket should still be on your retainer. You can pull it out and wear it anytime after that.

That's just great.

And now that I think about it, you can't really trick the game to make it pop into your loot list, eh?

Cause when the NPC tells you to wear it, it immediately goes into your inventory, right?

I'm not sure what would happen if you had a full inventory at that point. Anyone try that yet?
