And why MUST we do it? To end the fight 10 seconds sooner? If it where a matter of life and death then I could see the purpose, or in fights like Levi and Titan where a mistake COULD cost the win. But, like the OP, I get tanks screaming at me to LB demon wall or Ifrit HM nails, and to which I ask why? We can kill it perfectly fine without using LB and thus saving LB for when it IS NEEDED. My argument here is based on non-raid situations and LB1. LB2 is def worth using but LB1... meh.
The counter argument here is if it is used early and then the group wipes, the LB is gone.
No I believe that most good DPS go unnoticed, not intentionally, but it is much easier to remember that DRG who ate every WotL than it is to remember the one who dodged everything and managed cooldowns for jumps and gaols appropriately.
