There aren't that many good dps running around. Blame them for why people feel the need to tell someone when to LB.

Turn 2 ADS with no BRD in party. Good luck!
Seen so many melee DD not use the LB or use it at the wrong time that it's become much easier to say something to the party beforehand. A simple, "Hey guys, remember to use the LB when it begins enraging." is not an insult to anyone's intelligence, but a friendly reminder just in case someone may not know exactly when to use it.
In a nutshell: Don't take it personally.

Eh, pretty much with him. I don't let anyone tell me what to do or how to play if their being bossy about it.
Any way you roll it if someone is "telling" you what to do instead of asking or suggesting, they're being a-holes.
It's a video game, nothing to get obsessive over.

Typing, "Please use LB now if you don't mind, and please don't be offended that I asked you to do it since everyone who plays this game obviously knows how and when to do so." isn't very smart. It makes more sense that they're trying to pay attention to what they're doing also, and so just type, "LB". I can understand taking issue if they're telling you you're stupid or otherwise being blatantly rude, or telling you to do it at the incorrect time, but for anyone to take offense (not necessarily you, but some of the general attitude I've seen in this thread) to "LB" is beyond comprehension. Considering how many people I've met in DF, of all jobs and roles, who I honestly thought might be about 10 years old, I will never go into a DF assuming that anyone there knows what to do and how to do it. When they do, it's a nice surprise and I make sure I thank them for the smooth run.
If the ignorant person not using LB because someone told them to is in my party, that says more about them than it does about the person typing, "LB". Also, just because you may know when and how to use it does not mean that every other dps out there does. For that matter, maybe the person typing, "LB" also has a "real' Monk and knows the fight just as well as you may. Going on assumptions about the knowledge/ability of a complete stranger is a mistake and it's not one that most people are willing to make when they're running the same content for the nth time, farming tomes or gear or whatever the case may be.
I know when to Esuna on my WHM and when to interrupt/silence on my PLD, but I don't get annoyed if someone feels the need to preemptively tell me to do it. Often, it's already been done or is in progress. I just figure they'd rather be safe than sorry. Maybe my skin isn't as thin as that of some players. I mean, in the grand scheme, is it really the big deal some folks in this thread are making it out to be? /shrug

The answer is pretty much "better safe than sorry".
And even if everybody tells me when to use LB as a DPS, I can take revenge and point out we're in a boss battle and they still haven't used Shield Oath/Defiance.
