Yeah not sure what the big deal is with saying lb.
If the enemy is down to a percentage that i know a lb can end it i say lb if with a melee dps otherwise i will just lb myself.
Some people are just not yet used to the timing to use limit break for some instances. While it may annoy some (like op) really i think people are just trying to be helpful
Also yes you don't "need" to use limit break but why deal with a possible phase and when in a hurry why not just end it

One thing I have not seen mentioned, and I find it surprising, is that unless it is decided ahead of time, I often run into the "Is the DRG gonna LB, should I just do it? I'll let them since they're in DL, ah crap better do it now..." situation.

Despite knowing the best opportunity on most fights to hit LB, if someone tells me to do it I just do. If things don't go as well as they should I get to throw the "well, you said to use it" back at the grumpy person. Usually it doesn't matter at all.

LB power is based off entire party, not who uses it. Doesn't matter if the user is in Darklight...

Yes I know. Better DPS overall if the lower geared person uses it, as higher geared can still roll through rotation while lower is animation locked.

Btw I never said I don't like being told what to do or when to limit break. I do have a problem with how it os said. If you can't be polite about it why should I even give what you say a thought. Its not what you say its how you say it.

People SHOULD say it during fights like Lev EX. I rather say it and potentially piss off a caster reminding them, then actually have them forget/not do it and cause a wipe.

"I thought the other caster was going to cast it"
"I've never had to cast it during this fight, it was always another person"

Those lines I've heard soooo much in Lev ex I learned to just say it regardless.

It makes me beyond annoyed as a Bard that I don't have a DPS Limit Break and some melee is just sitting there with full LB bar for 50% of the fight, they honestly could have LB'd twice during that time... Oh, the frustration.

... really? I've seen more stupid tank pulls, waste of heals/no heals at all than a dps using LB wrong. Us dps could very well yell out "pull now" but we don't, or "heal tank" for that matter.

Very often people overestimate the damage the lb deals, not to mention on the late game dungeons. Like the last boss in Longstop, it's not a good thing to lb too early and most dps classes know. If you suddenly yell out "LB NOW" while the dps is trying to get it right that doesn't help.

My favorite is when in a 4-man with 2 Bards and the tank starts flipping out with LB!!!!! OMG!
