You guys need to chill out. Most people just say it as a reminder that the LB is full and ready to use, not USE IT RIGHT THIS SECOND. There are times when you are into the fight and not paying attention to the LB bar (as any job), and it is nice to have a reminder. Plus if I am in DF… I don’t know you; I don’t know what you have and haven’t done. I’m going to say LB when I want, get over it.

While I get that having others tell you what to do or how to do it can be extremely annoying, communication is key in most MMOs. The top teams in gaming got there by not only putting in loads of time to learn and analyze mechanics, but arguably more importantly, having stellar communication and a sense of camaraderie. We can all learn something from this. DPS, it's also within your duty to take in information as well as put out numbers. Whether that be in the form of not standing in the fire or listening to your teammates. Tanks and heals are supposed to control the flow of battle, and part of this means not being judgey whiners when things aren't optimal. Instruct, rather than demand... And you'll probably find a much better team when next you see them in DR.

Go forth and have fun. And if this all sounds like too much for you, do so in single player.

Personally I think each instance is different. In Brayflox HM for example: most times we kill the 1st boss before LB 1 is up. If its up before the kill I'll use, but it usually ends up being the kill shot(or very close to it). If we have the LB at 2nd boss, but I have a BLM or SMN I'll ask before the fight if they want me to save LB for for Big pull since we'll get another in final boss. At final boss I always LB but not until I burn my CD's, jumps, so I can insure it kills before the bomb phase. In most cases I usually just LB at 25~30% to avoid what this very thread is about. I will admit there are some times where I'll be vain (only on bosses that are a joke like demon wall post 2.2)and save it for the kill shot because c'mon... who doesn't feel cool after LB'ing something to death. In cases where I'm new to the instance I'll ask experienced players if I should LB at some point specifically but most times they'll just say "hey DRG LB this fkr at x%" and I'm fine with that.

I tell them to use LB because in 4 of 10 runs they dont use it in any bossfight, and thats annoying as hell too. but why keep people here getting annoyed or mad just because peole write something in chat. lmao really

I play as tank, healer, and range/melee dps so I've told others and was told by others to LB etc.. don't know why OP would be annoyed. No one knows that I do and can play each class type and that I do know when it's the most efficient and safest time to LB. Which is why if I play a DPS I would say I got LB covered b4 the fight or when I play tank/healer I would confirm someone as the main LB DPS etc... it's just communication, don't be annoyed. Communicate before the boss fight and trust me no one will tell you when to LB unless you've completely messed up the timing.

Theirs two sides to this, I must admit I dislike someone telling me to LB especially when it's premature to ask, however I loathe when someone uses it at 1percent life left
Doing haukke and one of the DPS kept telling the drg when to LB to which they got annoyed with, then LB was wasted as drg left it to the point one BLM nuke would kill it.
If you genuinely don't know when to LB, say, ask the party to let you know, don't hold on to it and waste it when it's not needed.

...And making sure everyone is on the same page is within everybody's interest? No need to be stuck-up about it. Be happy someone else on your team is competent.


OR you can be like other terrible DPSs, complain/ragequit when someone tells you something, but squander that bar of LB everyone expects you to use for no apparent reason through 90% of the duty.

people in this game get offended way too easily. just because someone says to use the lb doesn't mean they don't think you know when to use it. they just want to make sure it gets done. stop crying about the little things.

why does it seem almost every dungeon theres always someone who likes to tell others when to use a LB? at this point its quite annoying when the class i play most is dps class and have ran every dungeon multiple times with multiple classes. do i tell the tank how to play or the healer when to pull off their moves? no. you trust the person playing.

stick to your class and i'll stick to mine. and anyways, you don't NEED a limit break to really beat anything.

This is an MMO. And with any MMO, there needs to be cooperation. They are not disrespecting you. They are making sure everyone is on the same page JUST IN CASE someone DOESN'T know when to use LB and doesn't speak up. Because that happens all the time. I went into Ifrit EX the other day and after two wipes the WHM FINALLY said "First time here."

They're not trying to be mean. It's just a thing called TEAMWORK.

Anytime someone demands I use the limit break, I don't use it just to piss them off.

i'm not gonna limit the second I walk into a boss fight, or when you tell me too. Pull your head out from between your buttocks, and or better yet, leave their so that I don't have to hear you talk. IMO, any DD that blows limit asap in a boss fight, is bad and should quit this game right now. There are more reasons to save the limit break, FAR MORE, then there are to just blow it cause "FK you, me DPS". And fyi, if you can't think of those reasons, then you're bad, and should feel bad.
