    FATEs as a concept which was taken from other MMOs that feature similar events aren't that bad, it just that the open world mobs in this game aren't really interesting at all, they don't have any interesting moves or strategies to them and the majority of FATEs are just oversized versions of regular mobs or a zerg rush of them. Of course any amount of strategy required will become less involved once enough people participate in them just like what happens with the two more "advanced" FATEs in the game which are Odin and Behemoth, but they could still do more interesting things with them and their mechanics.

    Then there's the unnecessarily long wait times some of the book FATEs have, they aren't even a forced pop like Phaia or Watch your Tongue which seem to always pop once you kill a certain number of enemies around there area. If FATEs had more involved mechanics and were more similar to dungeon boss fights especially for big mob FATEs, a lot which used to be NMs in 1.X, they wouldn't be so bad. Give FATE mobs bigger move pools, better mechanics that require more organization between everyone participating in them, maybe more lore and NPC interactions in them, have them properly scale their move sets and the coordination required instead of just lowering or increasing their HP and damage. It doesn't even have to be what some could consider elitist tier difficulty, really just a tiny bit more challenge would be better than the current press 1 over and over until you win, but they are easy and not very involved by design so there's not much hope they'll get better.

    FATEs are scalable, open world, not monopolizable, anyone can participate and here to stay.

    YOU are tired of FATEs because YOU forced yourself to overuse them.
    Have you ever actually read the FATE text? Or for some FATEs, the dialogue right before the FATE starts, or right after?

    I hate FATES, if SE wants to keep them for the people that likes them fine, but dont force us to to them.

    Why involve them in relic upgrade? keep them to seasonal event or something.

    Our fates were sealed when fates were introduced.
    But tbh some of the fate's descriptions were funny ( i.e lalafells being eaten/ preyed on lol)

    Honestly FATEs are fine, but as we move forward in the future, SE needs to become
    more creative, and they need to have a larger meaning/impact, rather than the worthless
    lot they are now. Actual drop pools (maybe with % rate depending on rating), make them
    not able to be just hammered with nobody grouping up, give them actual mechanics, make
    them exciting and not boring crap.

    I'm pretty happy with the fates. Better than I've seen in several old mmos.

    I'm actually quite surprised of how vocal this very small segment of our population is.

    It's not broken. No need to fix it.

    I hate Fates Now completely Sick of them. They boar me to death there is no depth to them. Bring the elemental reel back and that would make it more interesting and give this game battle system more depth.

    They should rework the claim system so only 1 player/party on claimed mob(s), exclude boss fates on this.

    That way at least it would cut down on AOE spam.. I think.

    YoshiP seems to love it so much and it's not even an original idea of his own. Just what is it that makes him like Fate so much that he can be so adamant about this?

    Is it the F.A.T.E. abbreviation? Maybe he came up with that abbreviation.
