Yea those WARs get Berserk and look at the piles of damage they do =O
Seriously, its pretty well balanced atm but some variety would be nice as well ^^

More variety would be nice for ALL classes. Most are lucky to get 2-3 regularly used cross skills right now. Unfortunately, I think we'll need to wait for a couple new classes before we see any more significant variety.
I want invigorate as a war
That is all
Ive just aquired the BARD job for Archer and i cant help think you'd be better off just staying as an Archer, the BARDS abilties really arnt that Vital to changing a battle for you or your party, and why you might think, "but at least your getting something extra" you've actually lost a lot more with the CROSS-CLASS abilities.
For instance, Ive also leveled the White Mage to Level 50, so with the Archer i was able to use RAISE, CURE, PROTECT and STONEWALL as a CROSS-CLASS abilities but since becoming a bard im no longer able to use these. I cant say how many times Cure and Protect have helped me out as a Archer class, and on one occasion in the boss fight in Haukke manor i was able to raise our conjurer which massively helped out. The abilities with bard just arnt that important and you have to stay close to the players for the effects to stay active.
Can't raise mid-fight crossclass. Heals from a DPS are worthless. The stat boost to DEX alone is worth dropping all of the non-essential cross abilities. For instance, Ive also leveled the White Mage to Level 50, so with the Archer i was able to use RAISE, CURE, PROTECT and STONEWALL as a CROSS-CLASS abilities but since becoming a bard im no longer able to use these. XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
I'd like brd to be like before with access to healing spells to make it more support oriented.
Jobs give you a significant stat boost that outdoes any cross-class skill. It's wise to upgrade to a job with any class by at least 35.Ive just aquired the BARD job for Archer and i cant help think you'd be better off just staying as an Archer, the BARDS abilties really arnt that Vital to changing a battle for you or your party, and why you might think, "but at least your getting something extra" you've actually lost a lot more with the CROSS-CLASS abilities.
There's also Foe Requiem, which is hugely significant and also worth enough to ditch your piddling cures and physicks.
And there's your problem. You haven't played endgame bard without overgearing for the content where Foe Requiem, Mage's Ballad and Army's Paeon are all very useful. Rain of Death used to be useful as well. And also you're losing stats boost from the soulstone for what? Cure is mediocre without mind stats, Protect is useless when you always have a healer, Stoneskin is alright but you don't have the MP to keep casting it, Raise cannot be used in-battle.Ive just aquired the BARD job for Archer and i cant help think you'd be better off just staying as an Archer, the BARDS abilties really arnt that Vital to changing a battle for you or your party, and why you might think, "but at least your getting something extra" you've actually lost a lot more with the CROSS-CLASS abilities.
