(Assuming the battle system is fixed properly...)
Once content starts coming out in fairly regular intervals I'm pulling out the Diner's Club card.

more players
actual FF related content
an ACTUAL MMO instead of a solo game with other players walking around soloing.
more than 3 common areas..
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
ill pay when the game is fun.
And by fun i mean longevity and diversity.
Saying is fun because of the community or your friends is not related to the game, rather because YOU make it fun .But a carboard game can be fun to with friends.
I can't believe how many threads there is about begging us to start paying for FFXIV. I swear you guys must be working for SE.i am not sure, probably i only need to can level up grinding in party like FFXI or something similar (aceptable party routing) and some content like nyzul.
and about little upgrades:
- food to work
- LS management
- Global Market Wards (all citys linked)
With something like this i could start to pay to play
But let me still give you a definitive answer. We will pay when it's worth paying for.
As of now the game is maybe 40-50% ready to be worth paying for and at the rate things are going, it won't be this year.
now stop it with these silly threads.
- A decent interface. Client-sided, with drag'n'drop, skills saving, multiple configurable action-bars, multiple chat channels. No need to use macro at all. This includes LS/guild/party control.
- A market/AH/whatever-you-want-to-call-it system that doesn't requires you to walk up to your vendor. Price history too.
- A proper crafting system. Something else than spamming the same recipe for 20 ranks.
- Decently sized inventory. Or less items, I don't care. Having to short my items reduces greatly my fun.
- A repair system that doesn't require more than 2 minutes of playtime every couple of hours. I don't care how those 2 minutes are spent, but I certainly don't want to spend 10 minutes to buy some material or find the right player. Or make it optional.
- A combat system implying more than 10 skills in the average rotation. I won't even ask for anything complex, but no more 1-spam. Obviously having a real strategic combat system (with, say, more than one single system for the all the classes of the game) would be better, but I don't even ask this.
- Content. No need to do a single leve or behest or party grind during the course of leveling a class. I want quests, dungeons, raids, bosses. Yes, as much as that.
- A real fullscreen mode.
- A working payment system. I certainly don't want to buy crysta (and pay for something else than exactly what I need) or give my credentials to another foreign company. SE is enough already. Don't even get me speaking of the poor guys who neither have access to C&B nor crysta.
This is a lot, yet this is the bare minimum a nowadays MMO is offering.
I'm only asking for this: a current MMO.
Then I'll consider paying a subscription.
I have to see what 1.18 and 1.19 delivers to the players. I don't mind paying right now if that's going to help cover the costs that's holding back some features devs can't work on right away due to cost.
Also YoshiP and them already promised they will make this game good, once I'm paying, they better really step up and do an awesome job like they have been so far but keep on pushing the limits. Wonder when they are planning the PS3 release to be on? 1.50? doubt 2.0 seems so far lol.
I dunno thought about donation system where players can donate if they want to help support... but doubt that's going to make enough to cover some costs plus might bring some jerks going off about why donate now!?!? It might cover the devs lunch/dinner when they work overtime? lol but then again we still have the Japan relief to think about for those people that got really affected by the quake/tsunami so not sure donation is good thing to do for a game.
I honestly dont understand why people wants to donate money to a massive company as Square Enix.
True but you know how many divisions they have in the company not just for games? all the revenue doesn't go to one team alone it has to go to every division of the company. I'm pretty sure they have enough money to cover the cost to build the game better but the team/division only gets set amount of expense they can use every month/quarter so they have to plan according to that. At least that's what I know about another company that's like SE in Japan which friend works for. Company name starts with a K![]()
