My feelings about Titan Ex!

Huh interesting reality check. I didn't realize people weren't done with that content yet. Even with the echo buff people are still having problems? Do you guys have free companies? I don't PF/DF anything, we just pick a night and our FC runs whatever is needed.

Staying secluded to your FC has made you completely out of touch with a vast amount of players in this game then. The echo doesnt do anything to help in this fight and in some cases actually makes it harder because the phase shifts at bad times with enhanced dps. I would love to see SEs numbers on how many have actually beaten Titan EX. Willing to bet it is less than 30% of the playerbase. Im still banging my head against it when I have time after capping Sol for the week. Some weeks I have time and others I dont.

My FC has a raid team that is doing Coil 2, but the rest is either very new (not even 50) or entered endgame recently. There aren't enough people in the middle like me. The raid team took me to Garuda after I had learned the fight, but training for Titan is impossible through PF/DF. There is always someone who quits after a couple of tries and the rest follows quickly.

If it weren't necessary to progress through the other Primals I wouldn't even care much, but the way it's structured, I'm gonna be left behind on all future fights if I don't clear it...

This is how I feel too... Even if they neft it to 50% echo, they cannot do a thing about falling. This is the only fight that there is a mechanics to put you out of combat with no possibility of rez

If you want to clear Titan Ex and you are already far past the learning stage, then you need to get 7 other patient people that have cleared or at least know the entire fight to clear it with you. I cleared it months ago, but recently had a linkshell friend looking to clear for the first time and a bunch of us got together in a party and kept going until it was cleared. I helped other friends I've played with too, help get a friend of theirs through titan ex. The friend has practiced enough to clear the fight, just needs other patient people to stick it out, until everything goes as planned and it gets cleared.

Most of the time with party finders, you'll have several attempts, and then someone will leave and then the entire party disbands.

If you wanna beat Titan ex, make a group and kick anyone who dies before the heart phase.
Nobody should be dying before the heart phase and if they are, you will not clear it. This should clear out all the bads and let you finally clear this fight.

Took me 15 tries before I cleared it with my FC. I never cleared it with a pug.

Titan Ex got a serious buff with 2.2. All the capable players now have no reason to ever go back. PF titan groups have been massive failures. Hell even Titan HM gets cleared in DF these days due to the roulette putting vets in it. They need to buff Rowena's Token to get people to actually run them. Maybe make the token worth 50-100 soldiery tomes that don't count against the cap.

I finally completed Titan EX last night. Once you actually learn the phases, it's tough but not so bad as long as you can remain focused.

The hardest part about Titan is finding 7 others who can do the fight properly.

I still do Titan ex. once in a while to test out this PF groups, if they make it past heart w/o dying to LS/WOTL I stay and help with the clear even if it takes 25% echo. it just mean more exp. is needed on bomb pattern/gaoler.
there is plenty of "freedom" with echo buff, if u manage to get to 2nd gaolers u can usually clear it with 2 dps/a tank down.

I have three clears now. Two with my FC on my Bard (first win plus an assist to help out another FC member). The third was with my Warrior last week. Now that I have both the Dual Hakken and the Hellish Claws, I don't know if I'll ever actively pursue this fight again. You can easily waste an hour or more in there with a group that can make it past Gaolers and still not get a clear. It's crazy how often people panic during the last phase.

If My FC needs help with assists, I'll probably do it. If not, I think I'm done with the extreme primals for now.

I've been trying to clear Titan EX for weeks now.

It's a really frustrating fight because, like others have said, you're really competing against the 7 people in your party as much as Titan himself.


The worst is when you have a group of 8 people and you get past heart, past the adds, and someone makes a single stupid mistake like eating one of the double WotL's... and then others in the party rage quit because they were looking for a one-shot. It's happened more than a few times.


I've tried to make a linkshell where I get people together to beat the content, but, what happens is... someone beats it via PF or FC and then when I ask if they want to attempt it again, they either say no thanks... or, I log on and they've abandoned the LS. I just shut it down beause it was becoming so frustrating.

As far as my FC? They are great, but, we're small. We have 30 people, 8 of which are on extreme primals and T5. I'm not going to bail on them, because they are cool people and I enjoy playing with them.


This isn't a whining post, it's just stating facts/experiences with this content.

I understand that's the way the game is and everything is working as intended. I'm not asking for a nerf, just sharing my own experiences and letting people who are at the same point I'm at know that they aren't alone.

Too be honest, getting past Titan EX isn't really a need of mine. There's still plenty of other things to do in the game... and in some ways it's nice to have content waiting there for me whenever I feel like putting up with the headache of trying to assemble a group of equally skilled players to tackle it.
