Do Darklight Gloves of Casting still exist?

I've checked the database, and it says they drop from Halatali and Brayflox HM, but I've ran both of those dungeons a jawdropping number of times, and have never seen them once.

Do they still drop at all? I'd like to get them for glamour, but I'm beginning to think they no longer exist.

From what I've noticed, all gloves drop from the first boss. Was this in Brayflox, or Halatali?

The Darklight sets can drop in all the new dungeons (Lost City, Halatali/Brayflox HM) as far as I know. You just need insane luck because the programmers thought it was a good idea to put material crap in boss chests. I don't mind them, but they shouldn't drop from bosses. On the side is better.

In the end, just bow down on your knees and pray to RNGesus.

That's what I thought. I've never seen them drop though, the chances must be beyond astronomically low.

It is really low considering there's not much chest on new hard dungeon. I often got them on the 1st boss Halatali and Brayflox hard.

Yeah. Only piece of dl I kept because of how creepy they look on lalafell smns. Just keep at it.

I see those drop in there more often. Darklight is so random but the green drops seem to happen quite often. I see usually two each run.

But yea, if for looks I can understand. They do look a bit creepy. As far as I can tell, darklight is a 1 in 3 chance from most chests, with some having a bit different odds at times.

Options from chests often seem to be in my opinion only:
33% rare crafting mat
33% Green ilvl70 item (new item/model)
33% darklight - random piece (jewelery or armor)

Seeing as just getting darklight to drop at all is a bit random, on top of that. There are 10 possible drops for some classes and 9 for casters, while 8 for tanks. That gives a large loot table, that doesn't always get drawn from...

But surely you will get them eventually. As I like to think: It's not how many runs it will take until you get them, but how many runs can you do and *not* get them? Odds are they will drop eventually.

By the time you are doing those dungeons you are way out of the realm of needing darklight. So you might want to collect them for glamour purposes, but because they decided to include crafting materials in the drops, they become nearly impossible.

They really need to re-design their loot tables and distribution systems, as its pretty messed up. It should be a steady distribution, following a linear path.

you get your "class" gear > dark light > crystal tower > mythology > soldier > allagan > what ever comes next.

Instead, the gear seems to be spread out all over the place. I honestly think the best time for gear was last patch, where you had a decent method of acquiring it. You could run crystal tower to get a piece, and at the same time you could build up myth tomes to get a better piece. It may have had been "slow", but it was progressive.
