My feelings about Titan Ex!

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this post because i'm concerned about the Titan Extreme Fight. The this fight is not difficult in itself but it has IMHO absolutly no room for errors. I Did everything in this game except Levi X, Mog X, Ifrit X (Locked out by the titan X fight) and SCoB. But the Titan X fight is the only one that has no room for errors. I mean absolutlyl none. The echo helps not to die but does nothing for landslides. I remember the Titan HM days where no one was able to go passed it and not long ago in a roulette. I did a 3 man Titan HM to carry 5. Will Titan Ex ever be easy to beat one day??

I've been doing Titan for about 2 months with 4-5 attemps a week without success and with a lot of modesty. I'm absolutly not the "Weakest link" in my runs. So let me be clear, the difficulty is absolutly fine. What makes it hard is that all the players that cleared it now are on T6+ and Levi farming, there is not so much good players still doing it (I guess because when you do it once, you never wanna go back to him again). This leads to Titan X with 7/8 competent people and maybe 1-2 "weakest link".

This is exactly my problem. Even if I put "iLvl 90, Know fight, Bring you A-game" in PF, i'm still always getting someone who is the "weakest link" and waste the run for everybody.

I know there is not so much to do with this and i'm just telling how I feel. I'm a 15h/week type of player. I don't want the fight to be adjusted or anything like that. In fact I like very much this fight. Always keeping you on your toes. I just wanna get past it. The fact that we require a "PERFECT" party to clear it is just getting on my nerve.

I Know i'm not the only one in this situation and to those who were in this situation, how did you manage to get passed it and clear this?? Do I have to wait and wait and one day i'll pick a true clear group? Or should I try to build a super Titan X Task Force with the best players on the server, or what?

I beat mine joining a PF group. At first we wiped lots, mostly due to landslide and WotLs, but we beat him in the end. Took me more than an hour and with the same group ^^

It really isnt as hard as players make it!!!!!
theres 2 ways to do it, the it'll be ok just run here & DPS nuts the adds.

Or the line everything up, move where you need to, dont attack adds until there both positioned & OT has good aggro on them way since they go down fast & also dont stop stacking until After that set of plumes goes off. Which you will 1 Shot it everytime! even with a dps or 2 down if you have good gear (crit gear usually is better)

There is enough room for errors. Ok, less than Titan HM (like it should be), but you can survive even with a couple fails. If you don't see them, is just a matter of practice :3

Titan EX has the same issue than Titan HM: You fight against Titan and his 7 adds (aka party members), you can't win if more than X member fail. But honestly, hooooooooonestly, the "hardest" part from this battle is titan-egi phase... the rest is exactly the same than Titan HM and it should be EASILY avoidable

This battle is a bit unforgiving, i admit it... but talk me again about "little room for error" once you reach T7..... that damn Melusine... xD

This thread speaks my current situation verbatim. I'm locked out of all the best stuff because there's always that one person or two) that just can't get it. It's really killing my progression to the point where I'm just about willing to self myself into indentured servitude to buy a clear so I can move on with the game.

I feel the same, a friend of mine that have done it all says that Ifrit X and Levi X are still easier than Titan X. I want to be able to tackle those fight and the fact that this is not my fault is getting to me! I can forgive some error but doing the forgivin for so long, it's difficult :S.

Anyway you probably need a good FC somewhere. Or get a TitanEX win buy.

Or, worse come to worse... you need a server transfer.

PF is most likely the only chance you have, if you dont really have FC or LS support.

That's also the problem... they're so successful that they've forgotten all about titan and have moved on to new coil and Levi Ex farm. I'm probably going to leave soon and try another FC; and if that doesn't work I've had my eyes on Gilgamesh for a while lol(wanna join an RP community).

Im in the same position as you with Titan Extreme. You are welcome to join Heaven and Sea (HnS) on Goblin. We have 1 group that has cleared up 2 t8 and the rest of us are at the T5/Xprimal stage of the game. We probably have about 25 active members so no one really gets overlooked. Always helpful, always good to each other!
