I've been playing for like 3 weeks now, got 1 class to level 50 (PLD).

I've completed all the main scenery quests, now what is the best way to gain GIL?

PS: If any level 50 blacksmith/armorer is kind enough, could you please donate an "Aeolian scimitar melded with two grade three battledance materia" please so I can finish up the Relic Reborn quest. If I buy it in the market, i'll have no GIL leftover.

If you need to make gil fast? Make HQ equipment for level 15, 25, and 30, doesn't matter what class it's for. Put it on the market at under market value (by about 10%) and wait a day or two. You can assimilate spiritbonded gear to make battledance materia, so google what makes what materia, use it, spirit bond it, then assimilate it yourself. Asking for donations won't get you anywhere fast.

Yea.. considering that quest and dungeon loot offer usable armor. Unless you purchased every armor item our attempted power leveling a craft by purchasing all materials. I'm finding it hard to be broke in this game. In regards to the relic, I know I'd feel more acomplished working towards if on my own then asking for free stuff. That's just my opinion. Farm materials to craft or sell. On diablos server crystals go for quite a lot.

Or alternatively work up botanist, shards have always and still do sell well @ the market.
Even send your retainers for botany ventures
Also materia sells for crazy prices at times so maybe look at that as well

Make good use of duty roulette and challenge logs to earn gil. Once you have some funds, get a set of the level 55 crafted armor (should have militia or imperial in the name. Pick the tank stuff, and sadly it doesn't cover all accessory slots), then do your content wearing that to spiritbond it for materia. You may get the materia you need, and plenty of materia sells for high prices.

Yes, My bf is a tank and he makes so much cash off rouletting and challenge logging every day/week. @-@

I just want to second the Duty Roulette thing. I try to get my tank through each set of roulette per day, and I make somewhere in the neighborhood of 40k/day from straight gil bonus, dungeon drops, and selling the gear that drops for seals and the seals I get into crafting mats to sell.

Its going to kind of be one of those things where you learn what works best for you.

Good luck! And only someone on your server could help you out with the relic base - I would say just spend the money for it! You will make gil again quickly, just have a reserve of about 20k to teleport around and stuff!
