In archeage you can push people out of the way (within a certain radius).

Also, I mention these other games as living proof that it won't destroy the whole world just because there's collision detection. If other games can do it, then that suggests it is not an unachievable idea.

Also, im sure one of those people in a line will be a lalafell so you can just jump over them.

Invading other people's bodies and getting stuck inside mobs is more game-ruining than the prospect of having some people actually doing something in the game for once anyway.
