    True but we've seen how many bots go unchecked. What makes you think it will be different here? Even if they are sent to the jail zone, how long will that take for a GM to act? If you're unable to get where you're wanting to go its pretty inconvenient.

    I see, you meant withing a radius of their original location. Fair point, I thought you meant push characters within a radius of your character.

How many characters will your character be able to push if there are too many people stood too close? What if someone else's character is pushing from the other side? You could rely on people being civil and not causing these problems for each other but unfortunately you can't guarantee it.

    I think all NPCs (excluding retainers) should have full collision detection to prevent players from standing in or running straight though them. Player collision I don't support because it can be 1) abused 2) a pain when going through heavily congested areas and 3) would make full party (8 members) play much more frustrating if all 8 people are trying to hit one mob, even more so if said mob has a breath or tail swipe forcing players to all crowd in one direction.

    Off topic I seem to recall that the OP made a thread about chocobos inside towns. Crowded town + chocobos + collision; what a nightmare that would be.

    I'm sure it's been brought up but not being able to move through other players ever is an awful idea. People forming walls intentionally or not and swarming the leve counter. This would make navigating cities in general a living hell. Why must everything be about realism?

    Collision Detection?

    I'm neither pro or con, which means I am indifferent if they choose to re-implement it with some upgrades.
    Reading some posts, I've noticed that there was a desire to interact with other characters, like stomping on others and make them move, or do funny acts.
    I say, give the movement and the funny acts to who does the collision. If I'm AFK I don't want to find myself in another place just because someone was f*cking with me.

    The Collision Detection was a nightmare for me anyway as a Marauder. I couldn't be in the Steadfast state while fighting with Crabs because they would move when I was near them, and that would make me move too and make me lose my Steadfast.

    Implement it fixed or don't implement it at all.
    Speaking of implementation, do you remember when monsters followed you like "Hey! Sup!"? Man, that was awesome!

    For the most part the collision detection works. That game is still in beta obviously and has a few bugs. If you watch all the videos there are occasions where collision detection fails to go off but it generally works and doesnt seem a problem at all, ever. I would rather have collision that worked 95% of the time rather than have what feels like a graphical glitch 100% of the time (FFXIV).

    Archeage is on korean servers and so is TERA and nobody playing those games in North America had problems with collision detection.

    It's not infeasible from a ping-perspective to implement something like this.

    I would rather sacrifice convenience (potentially) than have a game that doesn't even care if playes are alive.

    I guess there's a /furious emote for a reason. Maybe some things should be infuriating.

    To be honest at this point I wouldn't care if people tried to grief me because at least it would give me a talking-point about this game so I could say "remember when..." and not clutch at straws trying to think of something that stood out.

    Otherwise just do what Age of Conan did to resolve the issue.
