Actually I think it's quite the opposite. Everyone is highly opinionated and everything they say MUST be right. Kind of like how I made a counter-argument to your statement when I didn't really have to. The real problem is that people won't get over themselves long enough to get past their own opinions and look into the reasoning as to why someone would or would not want something. But that's just my opinion on the matter. It's really sad that the things I think would make this game fun is not in the majority view. I don't understand where the majority of players are coming from.
I can only assume that this is due to the fact the our society is growing increasingly dumber by the day. We can not think for ourselves and need someone to tell us what to do and how to do it.

Insulting people in the counter argument isn't going to change their minds. It will make them stick harder to their opinion regardless of whether or not it's right, and think less of your opinion simply because you insulted them. In essence, if you want to try and change someone's mind, come up with a well thought-out response and don't be a dick.
I am constantly thinking about this, all the time about everything. I think it's very important to question things as well as play devil's advocate. It makes you think.

So far the only reason people don't want collision detection is because they don't want someone to push them if they are blocking a path and won't move out of the way.
Maybe next time position yourself more politely?
Since everyone seems to get butthurt about people griefing and blocking paths, etc. I'd like full-on collisions (completely impassable) with NPCs and mobs, and partial collisions (like what we had before) with other players.
At this point, I'll take what I can get. And if we can't have full collision detection, then partial would be a compromise I suppose. But why we can't just push players out the way I shall never know. I'd like a higher percentage partial collision than what we had though.
Like someone else suggested, if they made it so you had to run through the person for several seconds, that would be more sense-making.

Right, I agree 100%. That's pretty much the system we had before. Why they took that out is seriously beyond me. :|At this point, I'll take what I can get. I want the collision detection back too
Since you don't have to worry at all about what anyone outside your party is doing (don't get hit by AOEs from the monsters they are fighting), it was only logical for them to take it all the way so you are completely unaffected by other characters.
They took it out because the market wards are steaming piles of donkey ****.
