I would say when we are able to jump over other players, they can go ahead and add collision detection back.

Me and my friends were all pretty upset when collision was removed. I myself am all for immersion in my MMOs. This game only had partial collision and that was perfect. If they can make full collision that's great too. I have played age of conan and I remember people using mammoths to block ways so they added a crouch that allowed you to walk by people. Of course I like the suggestions of being able to nudge by people much better.
You don't need a reason to help someone~
See, the people at Age of Conan have the right idea. They recognise a good feature but also recognise the flaw in the feature. At SE, it's just a case of flat-out discarding any feature with problems (e.g., mob behaviours, active combat, collision detection, repair materials).

And you know the main reason why they changed? Players.See, the people at Age of Conan have the right idea. They recognise a good feature but also recognise the flaw in the feature. So they keep the feature but solve the flaw.

Yeah, I think I've had enough of player collision detection with 7 years of playing XI, thank you very much.
I think the collision was removed because of not only the market wards but also the seemingly small step up and downs that had to be walked all the way around in the field.
It was because of this poor programming that led to some players wanting jump added to be able to traverse these small hurdles. Obviously jump couldn't be implemented right away so the decision to completely remove collision came about.
Unfortunately we are now left in a stale world with improper physics, being able to instantly go up a 5-6 foot cliff may be faster and more convenient, but at what price? It just adds to the lifelessness of the world that players' are complaining about.
Conclusion: we are our own worst enemies

When jumping is enabled, collision with NPC, PC's, and hills and such can be put back in. It is just a temporary fix to the problem while they create jumping animations and such. So just wait people.

Agree, i'm with collision back too. Like before, like it was in FF11.

I'm for mob collision too.
It was really annoying seeing in the AA video the pugilist running through the mob to attack him from the back... the whole concept of attacking from different directions is pointless without collision :/

Not nearly to the same degree that you do.
Again, it's a neat little feature, but a very minor one. And in spite of whatever amount of immersion that you get from it, it's not the end of the game if it dosn't get back in.
I can take or leave it.
I'd rather they focous on making the gameplay smooth.
