I try and do clear if the party wants it when I play tank, but Duty Finder matches you with people who are high level and just need for daily roulette. Clear parties for XP are usually up for Darkhold because the XP is good. If the DD was expecting a Party Finder run in a Daily Roulette then he was at fault.

It's the same as someone expecting a unanimous agreement between members that they will speed run Brayflox or Halatali Hard in a roulette and getting ticked off when someone wants to take their time and do it normally. This is what Party Finder is for.

If somebody is new, he gets precedence over the majority. He has the right to experience his first run calmly and explore everything. As for the rest, I never oppose doing something extra. I like most Dungeons and I am in no hurry to finish them, and even if I happened to get one that I don't like in Roulette, the difference is 5-10 minutes at most. It's not like I'd be doing anything important anyway, I'd still be playing the game, so... it costs me nothing and makes a person happy; I see no reasons to oppose.

The only thing I don't compromise on are speed runs. I hate them and they completely ruin the game for me to the point it's not fun anymore, so if if the rest of the party wants to SR even after I said no, I simply leave (but no ragequits or insults thrown around of course).

Whenever I do a low-level roulette, I do it on PLD, and I typically ask the group whether they want a fast run or a full clear. Most of the time, no one cares and we'll skip optional mobs and treasure (hey, I'm level 50 and don't need exp; if no one cares enough to speak up, who am I to argue?), but occasionally someone will prefer to get exp and I'm totally fine with that.

Honestly, when it comes to low-level Roulette, there's no value in rushing it. If you're level 50, there's much faster ways to get Tomestones (unless, maybe, you were gambling on a trial-size Primal and lost?). If you're under level 50, then the extra exp you get is worth a longer run. When I do low-level, it's pretty much just for a change of pace from the Brayflox grind, and when I do I try to be considerate of the folks I team up with. Leader of the group or not, a tank can't get very far without healer and dds!

BTW OP, as a healer you will invariably come to a point where you mathematically cannot heal enough for the speedrun people will want to try to make you do. I know my SCH is not geared for speedrunning stuff past Wanderer's Palace. It wouldn't matter if you are outvoted 3 to 1, the math will say it is NOT possible, you will run out of MP. It is even more apparent with my level 34 CNJ/WHM. Tanks that try to grab double mobs on brayflox will get themselves killed, and undergeared ones pulling a single mob group will drain all my MP and we will wipe when I run out MP on the boss.

It is usually good to go with the flow, but sometimes you got to let them know you can not handle it. And furthermore you should NOT have to do stuff you do NOT feel comfortable doing. This probably less of an issue at lower level dungeons, but absolutely do NOT let people bully, intimidate, or force you to speed run stuff you can not handle or do not feel comfortable doing. And when you get to Castrum or Praetorium do NOT let them bully your into skipping your cut scenes either, especially your first time thru those.

As a tank I was personally very annoyed with full clears. I just wanted to finish and get my daily roulette done. I always told people I had to leave soon and didn't have time for full clear. Some people say my queue is fast and I don't understand, which yes is true but I didn't join for full clear only to finish as fast as I can which they don't understand.

You are only there for your own interest, only for your myth and.. mayhap soldiery, if not capped already.

But let's blame SE instead for making the dungeons that way, instead of giving rewards once everything is discovered, opened, and all mobs killed.

Time for them to re-think the purpose, in which no one follows anyway.

*Completing a dungeon, killing everything that will take 60 mins, with 30 mins left on the timer? Ain't nobody got time for that..

Part of the problem with this whole thing is also the mechanic of the Duty Finder itself. In pretty much every other MMO if you want to run a dungeon you need to find your own group, which means you actually have to put some effort into finding people who want to do the runs the way you want to do them. This, of course, means you might not end up ever getting a group for a dungeon (i.e.: Any instance on Tera past lvl 40... >.>) but if you do get one you'll most likely end up with a group that's already signed on and agreed to how you're running the instance.

On top of that, since the DF queues are cross-server, you're not likely to end up with people whom you might run into later for other dungeons. In MMOs where you're stuck playing with the people on your server it's easy for the community to spread the word about a particular 'toxic player' or the like. Most people might see this as a bad thing since it could be potentially discriminatory, but I simply see it as incentive to not be the same kind of uber trolls you run into in a system like this where none of your actions really have any lasting consequence since... hey, I'm likely never going to cross paths with 1% of the people I run dungeons with ever again (with rare exceptions, of course).

If you have to follow tank you are doing it wrong... Sooo wrong :P All trash packs in non-coil instances can be easily handled w/o a tank.

Well, the tank should have either been more obliging when OP (the healer) and the other DD had no issues with doing a full clear/ exploration of the dungeon, or simply left. On the other hand, the DD that didn't get his way (because of the tank) didn't need to be rude about it.

You know, I would love to one day fully explore Sastasha. I've yet to get credit for fully exploring the dungeon but nobody ever wants to fully clear it out.

In my opinion the Tank was wrong. Every time you enter a DF dungeon ALWAYS be expected to run the thing!. Just because you have "Said item" or don't it doesn't mean other people don't!. So don't be so F*****g selfish. If you want to run a FAST Dungeon then make your own via PF!.
